Trimbach Riesling 2019, A.C. Alsace

The first aroma that popped out was candle wax followed by Citrus zest.
This is a dry wine but not a dry your mouth out dry. I found the acidity very soft.
Flavors of citrus and stone.

Château De Nages Jt 2019, A.P. Costières De Nîmes

When I opened this, I was getting notes of cherry, dark chocolate and graphite. It had some nice dark fruit flavors. A hint of heat on the finish that I enjoyed. Some tannins but not overwhelming.
I did not notice this wine evolving throughout the evening, so I see no reason to decant.

The Lane Vineyard Block 14 Basket Press Shiraz 2016, Adelaide Hills, South Australia

Started off with a nice aroma of black fruit such as black berries. I found the balance of the wine was off. The tannis were smooth but the acidity was a little high. I also found the wine a little hot. I see this was rated a 92 a year ago. I wonder if that was it's peak because a year later I would not say that it is a 92.

San Pedro Sideral 2016, Do Cachapoal Valley

This wine displayed aromas of cassis, but what I really enjoyed was the earthy scents. The finish was long. Nice acidity and smooth tannins. I enjoyed the taste because it was not all about fruit but it had a little of that earthy flavor to it too. Through out the night, it did not evolve, so I see no reason to decant.

Framingham Sauvignon Blanc 2020, Marlborough

Fantastic aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit. I could swirl and sniff this all night.
Nice acidity level. Great tropical fruit flavors.

Zuccardi Poligonos Malbec 2016, Tupungato Alto, Mendoza

The wine is dark purple. When first opened, it had wonderful aromas of cassis, black pepper and vanilla. Very strong tannin's. It will dry your mouth very fast. At this point, I would have loved to have a steak with it. About an hour later, I found the aromas dissipated a bit but the tannin's smoothed out a bit too. Even though the aromas soften, another aroma started to emerge...dark chocolate. This wine has dark fruit flavors. I would say the sweet spot for this wine is about an hour after opening.

Hidden Bench Estate Chardonnay 2017, VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario

The is a delicious wine. It has a buttery nose with a hint of citrus. I was expecting a very buttery flavor but it was very subtle. Nice balanced wine with flavors of green apple with a subtle buttery touch. Long finish.

Ahi Ka Blackmore Grower Sauvignon Blanc 2023, Dillons Point, Marlborough, South Island, Sustainable

Like many Sauvignon Blancs I’ve enjoyed from New Zealand, this one offered a strong aroma and vibrant taste of grapefruit. The balance of flavor, crispness, and just the right amount of acidity made it a truly enjoyable wine.

I will steal some of the profiles that others mentioned that I agree with...taste of butter, toast, lemon.
This was a very nice wine.

Jean Max Roger Cuvée Les Caillottes Sancerre 2019, Ac

Aromas of citrus and a hint of jalapeno. I very nice balanced wine. Long tasty finish. The taste of this wine is where is gets an A+. I rarely buy the same wine twice, but I would consider buying more than one bottle of this. One thing to note is not to over chill this or it will lose all of its magic. I say this because my wine chiller ended up coooling this wine too much. I will guess 8C to 10C is the target for this.
