Emiliana Coyam 2018, Los Robles Estate, Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$29.95
I held on to this 2018 vintage for 2 years. I was excited to taste how this must have evolved since the last reviews over two years ago. It seems that it did not get anymore complexed. The nose had dark fruit with a hint of dark chocolate. The same dark fruit and dark chocolate with the flavour.
I thought the tannin level was pretty much perfect. Also a long finish.
It did not evolve much throughout the evening, so I see no reason to decant.

Marques Del Atrio 2 Cepas Blanco De Guarda Viura/Tempranillo Blanco 2019, D.O.Ca Rioja
Rioja, Spain$26.95
I had this wine last night and lost my notes. I do recall nothing special on the nose, but why this wine got a 92 was the layer flavors. Vanilla, oak, apple, peach. It is all there and more I enjoyed the complexity of flavors.

Bodega Garzón Reserva Albariño 2018, Maldonado
Uruguay, World$21.95
Albarino is one of my favorite white wines. However this one disappointed me. The nose was a subtle hint of lychee. The taste I can best describe as apple. The mouth feel was not what I was expecting. It was a little spritzy. When swirling it in my mouth, it almost felt like I was swirling a cola drink in my mouth. Acidity was okay. Overall, I have learned that perhaps when I buy Albarino wines, I should stick with Portugal and Spain.
Domaine Chante Perdrix Châteauneuf Du Pape 2016, Ac
Rhône, France$45.95
This was a great wine. Aromas of delicious dark fruit and a hint of vanilla. This was a very well balanced wine. Taste of dark fruit combined with dark chocolate. Long tasty finish.
Throughout the evening, I did not notice much change in the wine, so I see no reason to decant. It is great from the moment you open it.

L'ecole No. 41 Semillon 2017, Columbia Valley, Washington
Washington, Usa$29.95
On the nose I was getting beeswax with a hint of chamomile tea. This wine was a nice dry wine with a long tasty finish. Not that I ever tasted citronella, but I image that was the taste that I was getting. A waxy lemon flavor. At first I was giving this wine a 91, but that flavor grew on me. This was my first Semillon, and I am looking forward to the next.

Hidden Bench Estate Chardonnay Unfiltered 2019, VQA Beamsville Bench
Ontario, Canada$29.95
To me, this wine had a dominant aroma of candle wax, followed by butter and a very slight hint of lemon in the back ground.
This wine had flavours of tree fruit such as apples.
This was a complexed wine and I feel the aromas and flavours that I stated are not giving this wine justice. I had this wine last night and I am still thinking how wonderful it was.

Creekside Iconoclast Syrah 2017, St. David's Bench, Niagara On The Lake
Ontario, Canada$25.00
This was a nice wine. However, I did not find any secondary or tertiary notes that really stood out, so that is why I gave this an 87. With that said, this wine did have notes of black fruit. It also has nice grippy tannins with some acidity. The finish is tasty as well, with some dark fruit flavors that linger.
This wine did not evolve throughout the evening, so I see no reason to decant.

Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$24.95
I had the 2017 vintage a couple months ago. The 2017 was better. This was good too though.
The top take away from this wine was the length. I thought the length was well above average.
Aromas of lemon and fresh cut grass.
Taste of green apple and lychee. Very good acidity.
Although the wine was good at around 8C, while it sat in my wine chiller and got cooler, I did enjoy the wine more. It became more crisp and balanced.

13th Street Chardonnay L. Viscek Vineyard 2018, Creek Shores
Ontario, Canada$34.95
Flint and tropical fruit on the nose but nothing realy stuck out. A smooth wine with light acidity and a nice lenght on the finish.
It is possible that I had this wine a little too cool because it seemed muted me. I tried letting it sit to warm up but still no other aromas popped for me.

Pierre Amadieu Domaine Grand Romane Cuvée Prestige Vieilles Vignes 2017, Ac Gigondas
Rhône, France$32.95
I was a little disappointed with this wine. I have enjoyed a few nice Gigondas wines the last few months but this one was missing the charactor and balance of what I have come to expect from a Gigondas. Black fruit on the nose and palate. Grippy tannins. Nice finish. I would suggest to decant for 30 minutes.
My opinion is if you plan on opening this, perhaps wait a couple more years for some more charactor to develop.
