Maculan Pinot Grigio 2023, Doc Breganze
Veneto, Italy$19.95
I had this at a get together. Perhaps I had it too cold because it was very muted. It was dry as I expected but was not really interesting in any way. With that said, I still enjoyed it but I would say, do not drink it too cold and perhaps you will enjoy more complexity.

Viña Leyda Garuma Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2023, D.O. Leyda Valley
Leyda Valley, Chile$18.95
I enjoyed this wine last night on a beautiful summer evening out on the patio, and it couldn’t have been more perfect for the setting. It offered a lovely balance of acidity that paired beautifully with the cheese I was having. There was also a refreshing zip—bright and citrusy, reminiscent of citrus zest—that really stood out. A crisp, well-structured wine that’s ideal for warm evenings and casual summer pairings.

Two Sisters Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Niagara River
Ontario, Canada$65.80
On the nose I was getting cassis with a hint of leather. When I tasted it, it hit me with a smokey leather and dark berries. The finish was very nice with the subtle warmth created from the alcohol lingering in the back of my throat. I found this wine very well balanced. I sipped on this wine through out the night and did not notice much of a change. I would say this wine is great right out of the bottle with no need to decant.

Kacaba Select Series Unoaked Chardonnay 2017, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$15.95
I was getting a nice aroma of green apples. The mouth feel was full bodied. I was tasting fruit such as apple. The finish I was swear I was tasting a slight hint of butter. I even double checked to make sure this was unoaked. Pretty good length.
I can see why this won silver in the national wine awards of Canada. Good value for $15.95.

Rodney Strong Charlotte's Home Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Sonoma County
California, Usa$19.95
I was not a fan of this at all. Maybe I am use to New Zealand Sauvignon blancs. This did not have the crispness, acidity or flavors that I expected. I tasted buttery nutty flavors with none of of the crispness or fruit flavors that I would expect. Perhaps it was a wine passed its prime. But I was not a fan and I struggled to drink it.

On the nose I was getting apple. When I tasted it, I was getting Pineapple and apple. On the finish I was tasting pineapple and mango. Well balanced.

Esporão Reserva Red 2015, Alentejo
Alentejo, Portugal$25.95
It is best to let this wine breath for about 30 minutes before drinking. If you try it right away, it will be very hot and the alcohol will over power flavours and aromas. Once it has breathed you will get berries on the nose and berries on the taste. This has a nice long finish.
As Steve Thurlow suggested, it would probably be best to cellar this for a couple of years.
