On the nose I was getting apple. When I tasted it, I was getting Pineapple and apple. On the finish I was tasting pineapple and mango. Well balanced.

Esporão Reserva Red 2015, Alentejo

It is best to let this wine breath for about 30 minutes before drinking. If you try it right away, it will be very hot and the alcohol will over power flavours and aromas. Once it has breathed you will get berries on the nose and berries on the taste. This has a nice long finish.
As Steve Thurlow suggested, it would probably be best to cellar this for a couple of years.

On the nose I was getting some apple. The taste was well rounded, nice acidity. Good length.

Villa Maria Private Bin Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough

The nose hit me with grapefruit, followed by melon. The taste was very fresh and crispy. I tasted a bit of lime but what I loved was the acidity. Even on the finish you could taste the perfect balance of acidity in the mouth. Unlike the 2017 vintage that I tasted a few weeks ago (good but nothing special) this was very nice.

Aromas of dark fruit. Flavors of dark fruit. Smooth tannins. A little hot on the finish.
Throughout the evening (2 hours), I noticed that it did not open up much more than when I first opened it so I see no reason to decant.

Familia Schroeder Alpataco Chardonnay 2017, Patagonia

On the nose I was getting lemon and melon notes. When I tasted it, I tasted apple and lemon, but it was nicely combined. I enjoyed how the acid tickled the back of my tongue and throat. This has a medium finish. Tasted May 2018.

I was expecting much more flavour and charactor based on the reviews that I read. I was sadly disapointed. On the nose it was hard to detect much though the aromas of alcohol evaprorating from the glass. I was tasting some cherry, but not much more. Perhaps I should have let the wine decant or breath before tasting it. Tasted September 2019

Trius Syrah 2017, Niagara On The Lake

The first aromas that I got was raspberry. That excited me because I rarely get raspberry. Other aromas consist of your typical cassis and dark fruit. The raspberry that I was excited about quickly dissipated and I did not smell that again over the course of the evening.
I found the tannins soft. The finish had wonderful flavors of dark fruit dancing on my tongue.
I would have loved to give this wine a higher score, but for me none of the aromas really popped out. I really needed to concentrate to get any of that character.
No need to decant.

Nice aroma of tropical fruit. Good acidity and flavour. I was very surprised to get this complexity and quality at this price point.
