Medium-to-high intensity nose, savoury with dried fig, raisin, prune and blackberry aromas that echo nicely on the smooth palate. It has a sinewy mouthfeel and finishes long and smooth. Tasted Nov/2014.

Highly aromatic with tobacco, leather, earth, and red fruits in a savoury, elegant style. The palate is medium-to-full bodied with integrated tannins, slightly chalky mouthfeel, and pleasing aroma replays. This is a well-balanced wine with balanced acids, good structure and clean, long finish. Tasted Mar/2015.

Blend of 65% Corvina, 20% Rondinella, and 15% Corvinone, this highly aromatic Amarone has earthy, iron, fig, dark currant, red licorice and hints of sweet spice. It's medium-full bodied on the palate with silky tannins, nicely balanced and appealing aroma replays that are off-dry. Acids are mouth-watering, while the finish length is very good. Tasted Nov/2015.

Highly aromatic and very appealing nose of mineral and petrol with herbally hints and whiffs of orange citrus. It's off-dry on the palate, with lovely aroma replays, and lively acids balancing the sweetness. Excellent finish length. Consistently superb, year-after-year. Tasted Mar/2017.
Vina Tondonia Red Reserva 2006, Rioja Alta

A blend of 70% Tempranillo, 20% Garnacha, 5% Graciano, and 5% Mazuelo, this medium-high intensity nose of red cherry, strawberry, florals with subtle nuances of forest floor. It is medium-full bodied with supple, integrated, and fine, dusty textured tannins with lovely aroma replays. Acids are very good, while the mid-palate has a slightly tart, sour cherry character. Long, earthy finish. Maturing well, and should continue to drink well into the late 20's. Tasted Oct/2019.

Captivating, highly aromatic nose offers elegant and refined aromas of golden apple, buttery, and pear with hints of butterscotch and caramel. It's medium-full bodied and richly layered and textured with lovely aroma replays, plus some touches of waxy and nutty notes. Vibrant acids freshen the palate. Finessed and balanced with excellent length on the long, nutty, toasty finish. Tasted Nov/2019.

Highly aromatic with smoky and reductive notes layered over pear, lemon pith, and orchard fruits. It's full-bodied and very concentrated on the palate with more reductive notes hovering over the fruit, which is revealed after some aeration. It has succulent acids and excellent finish length. Highly aromatic, fragrant nose featuring sweet oak spice scented, plus cherry, and cinnamon aromas. It's medium-full bodied and off-dry with very nice aroma replays. Grippy tannins are integrating nicely well. Acids are mouth-watering. Excellent finish length. Nicely balanced overall. Tasted June/2017.

Medium-high intensity nose that has stony mineral, grapefruit, white peach, and honeysuckle aromas. Acids are bright refreshing on the semi-sweet palate with very nice aromas replays along with earthy/mineral notes. Honeyed finish with excellent length. Tasted May/2016.
