Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Blend of 92% and Carmenere and 8% Petit Verdot. Fairly intense nose and ripe with purple, red and black fruits, followed by currant, oak, and floral aromas. The medium-full bodied palate is dense with very good fruit concentration and lovely, ripe fruited aroma replays, Smooth and dusty tannins add a nice textural character. Nicely balanced overall and excellent finish length. Tasted May/2019.

Grgich Hills Estate Grown Chardonnay 2014, Napa Valley

Highly aromatic with smoky and reductive notes layered over pear, lemon pith, and orchard fruits. It's full-bodied and very concentrated on the palate with more reductive notes hovering over the fruit, which is revealed after some aeration. It has succulent acids and excellent finish length. This barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc has a reserved nose offering hints of grapefruit and herbs. The dry palate is medium-bodied and creamy with very nice aroma replays and impressive depth of fruit. Nicely balanced overall with very good acidity and subtle oak that is well-integrated. Excellent finish length. Should improve with time. Tasted Apr/2018.

Medium-high intensity aromas that offer savoury, meaty, and smoked herb notes that follow through on the spicy, full-bodied palate. It is very smooth with refined tannins and juicy acidity. Excellent finish length with lingering smoky, peppery, and meaty notes. Tasted Oct/2019.

The nose is highly aromatic with lovely Morello cherry, red berry, clove, floral, spice and some underlying earthiness. It is medium+ bodied on the palate with nicely managed, fine-grained tannins that have some grip. Very nicely balanced overall with lovely replays on the flavour profile. Juicy acids are balanced and the finish length is excellent. Enjoyable now or over the next 10 years. Tasted Oct/2018.

100% Aglianico. Medium-high intensity aromatics are complex with spicy, blackberry, dark berry, leather, herbs, earth, and a touch of savoury funk. Some smoky mineral notes develop with air. Full-bodied & concentrated with nicely balanced aroma replays, plus black pepper, fig, and floral nuances supported by fresh, bright acidity to keep things quite light on the palate. Firm, drying, mouth-puckering tannins have a dusty & chalky texture. Excellent Finish length with dark berry, black plum, licorice, & spice flavours. Lovely savoury-earthy character throughout. Highly aromatic and fragrant nose of apricot, pastry, honey, and caramel notes. It's full-bodied and sweet with fresh lemon citrus notes joining the very nicely balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile. Fresh acidity keeps it from being cloying. Spiced mid-palate adds further complexity and interest, and continues through to the finish, with excellent length. Tasted Nov/2019.
