Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon 2016, New South Wales, Australia (375ml)
New South Wales, Australia$23.75
Highly aromatic and fragrant nose of apricot, pastry, honey, and caramel notes. It's full-bodied and sweet with fresh lemon citrus notes joining the very nicely balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile. Fresh acidity keeps it from being cloying. Spiced mid-palate adds further complexity and interest, and continues through to the finish, with excellent length. Tasted Nov/2019.
Chateau Mont Redon Chateauneuf Du Pape 2016, Ac
Rhône, France$56.95
A blend of primarily Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre, this fresh red berry, cherry, and raspberry scented Châteauneuf-du-Pape is full-bodied with lovely aroma replays plus spice and licorice flavours. Some stony mineral notes arrive on the mid-palate. Acids are fresh and well-balanced while tannins have some structure. Poised, persistent finish with excellent length. Tasted Nov/2019.

The medium-full bodied palate is dense with very good fruit concentration and lovely, ripe fruited aroma replays, Smooth and dusty tannins add a nice textural character. Nicely balanced overall and excellent finish length. Tasted May/2019.

A blend of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo, and 5% Syrah, this Chianti Classico has a lovely, intense, and perfumed nose that is savoury with black cherry, leather, and earthy mineral aromas. It's medium-full bodied on the concentrated palate with impressive depth of fruit supported by lively acids. Tasted Nov/2019.
Masi Costasera Riserva Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2011, Doc
Veneto, Italy$69.95
Bright plum, dried fruit, and dried cherry aromas. The medium-bodied palate is silky smooth with off-dry (i.e. slightly sweet) aroma replays that are warming. Very good fruit extraction with fruit holding up well to the 15.5% abv. The finish length is very long and completes on the dry side. Yummy! Tasted Oct/2016.
Grgich Hills Estate Grown Chardonnay 2014, Napa Valley
California, Usa$67.95
Highly aromatic with smoky and reductive notes layered over pear, lemon pith, and orchard fruits. It's full-bodied and very concentrated on the palate with more reductive notes hovering over the fruit, which is revealed after some aeration. It has succulent acids and excellent finish length. Tasted Nov/2019.
