Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Château Pigoudet Classic Rosé 2018, Ap Coteaux D'aix En Provence
Provence, France$24.95
A blend of 35% Grenache, 35% Cinsault, 15% Cabernet, 10% Syrah, and 5% Ugni Blanc that offers an elegant and restrained bouquet of red berry, citrus, lemon, and melon aromas. It is dry, medium-full bodied and has a nice, richly structured palate with mineral and orange citrus flavours. The mineral laden finish is long and clean. Tasted July/2019.
Secret Indulgence Secret Blend 2015, Napa Valley
California, Usa$95.95
Ssshhhh... it's a secret. Good wine. Tasted June/2019.
Château Beauséjour 2015, Ac Puisseguin Saint émilion
Bordeaux, France$37.95
A blend of 70/30 Merlot and Cabernet Franc, this has a medium-high nose of red berry, cherry, blackberry, earthy, wet forest floor, and underbrush that is maturing very nicely. It's medium-bodied with nicely balanced aroma replays and touches of dried red cherry and floral notes on the flavour profile with juicy, balanced acids. Stylish with smooth, refined tannins that will reward 2-3 years in the cellar. Long savoury and bitter finish. Tasted July/2019.
Tawse Limestone Ridge North Estate Bottled Riesling 2016, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$26.15
Gorgeous aromatics are off the charts with lovely petrol, mineral, limestone and lime aromas. Very nice aroma replays on the medium-sweet flavour profile with fine acids providing lift. Nicely balanced and a long, crisp finish. Organic and biodynamic. Highly recommended buy. Tasted Apr/2019.
Emiliana Coyam 2014, Los Robles Estate, Do Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$29.95
This organic red blend has a medium-high intensity nose that offers ripe red cherry and oak, along with savoury forest floor and wet earth aromas. On the medium+ bodied palate, it has nice aroma replays supported by fresh acids and smooth, integrated tannins. Red berry and oak notes linger on the long finish. Elegant and refined. Tasted Nov/2017.
Fattoria Le Pupille Morellino Di Scansano Riserva 2015, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$26.95
Tasted June/2019.
Sergio Zenato Riserva Lugana 2016, Doc
Veneto, Italy$39.95
Trebbiano di Lugana that was mostly (70%) barrel-fermented, and wholly barrel-aged. This has a lovely, highly aromatic nose that is rich and oak-infused with buttery and vanilla notes, also some baked apple, pear, and nutty aromas. It is full-bodied with richly textured vanilla, nutty, lemon, spice, and touches of dried apricot flavours. Acids are juicy, while the finish is long and rich. Tasted July/2019.
Norman Hardie County Chardonnay Unfiltered 2016, VQA Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$45.20
Highly aromatic nose is flinty and toasty with ripe apple, vanilla, and lemon aromas in a slightly reductive profile. It is medium-bodied on the palate with crisp, clean acids and reductive in style with more lemon, mineral, and poached apple flavours. Long, persistent finish that shows some of that famed County minerality. Tasted July/2019.
