Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Gardet Millésime Extra Brut Champagne 2012, Ac
Champagne, France$58.95
A blend of 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay, this has a medium-high intensity nose that is ripe with lemon sherbet, yeasty, fresh citrus and floral aromas and flavours. The palate is dry with crisp, balanced acids and flavours that show some maturity with touches of brioche and autolytic characters. Mousse is quite fine and the finish is long and crisp. Tasted Sept/2019.
Domaine Queylus Tradition Chardonnay 2016, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$27.95

Domaine Alary La Jean De Verde Cairanne 2015, Ac Côtes Du Rhône Villages
Rhône, France$24.25
100% Grenache. Medium+ nose offers red cherry, kirsch, liquorice, sweet oak spices and a touch brambly. The palate is medium-bodied with bright, fresh acids and fine tannins that have some grip. Very nicely balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile, joined by some blackberry notes. Excellent finish length. Tasted May/2018.
Viña Leyda Single Vineyard Canelo Syrah 2015, Leyda Valley
Chile$14.75
Medium-high intensity nose is meaty and savoury with charcuterie and hints of white pepper aromas. It is medium-full bodied with nice savoury, earth, dark berry & cherry, and pepper flavours. Lively acids lift the palate, while the finish length is excellent. Lovely cool-climate Syrah. Tasted Nov/2018.
Domaine Bouchard Père & Fils Les Clous Meursault 2015, Ac

The medium-high intensity aromas are clean with mineral and lemon/lime citrus notes. On the palate, this is medium-to-full bodied with very good acidity and nicely balanced aroma replays. Very smooth texture. The finish is long and clean. Tasted Apr/2017.
Zeltinger Sonnenuhr Riesling Kabinett 2016, Prädikatswein
Mosel, Germany$34.95
Lovely, highly aromatic nose offers flinty/stony mineral, floral, citrus, and orange notes with touches of stone fruit and peach. It's light-to-mid weighted with very good fruit concentration and lush, medium-sweet flavours of peach, melon, and orange. It has fine, well-delineated acids, while the finish length is excellent. Tasted Sept/2019.
Torres Salmos 2015, Doca Priorat

Blend of Cariñena, Garnacha and Syrah. It is structured with very good acidity and finish length. Tasted Sept/2018.
