Cigarzin Zinfandel 2008, California
California, Usa$19.95
Nice flavourful Zin. It tastes like this wine was fermented with sweet cigar tobacco. I liked it.
Peachy Canyon Westside Zinfandel 2008, Paso Robles
California, Usa$24.95
Not sure why people didn't like this wine, I found it delicious.
Mountadam Vineyards Cabernet/Merlot 2008, Barossa, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$16.95
It’s hard not to like this wine despite its imperfections. Right from the start the colour indicates nice deep concentrated fruit. The nose offers ripe black cherry, sweet pipe tobacco, vanilla oak & herbal notes (jagermeister). The palate is silky smooth & full bodied, and even though it’s a tad loose knit, it really seems to come together on the finish with nice dry tannins. Although it gives you the impression it’s going to be a Barossa goopy jam fruit bomb, it somehow keeps itself legitimate & focused. This wine sits right on the edge of the fence for me…but since it’s so delicious, it won me over

Umberto Cesari Sangiovese Di Romagna Riserva 2008, Doc
Emilia Romagna, Italy$19.95
perhaps my bottle was corked? smelt like walnut oil and a wet musty cloth...tasted pretty bad as well...hopefully this is not what impressed the panel. LOL
Coyote's Run Pinot Noir Rosé 2011, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$14.95
nice pinot smells emerge, but oddly is smells a tad austere. However, the palate makes up for it. nice light summer thirst quencher.
Columbia Crest H3 Les Chevaux 2009, Horse Heaven Hills
Washington, Usa$19.95
oaky oaky oaky ...loads of vanilla/ caramel oak, tree bark, blueberry, blackberry, bramble berry and rose petal. As it develops the syrah becomes noticeable and adds a hint of meatiness & minerality. Dry and structured but finishes quite abruptly.
Kevin O'leary Cabernet Merlot 2010, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$14.95
Light & acidic despite the warm 2010 vintage. Struggling to like this wine, i though it was going to be a game changer...sadly it's not.
Château L'argenteyre 2010, Ac Médoc
Bordeaux, France$22.95
Light and flavourful. An enjoyable table wine.
Belle Glos Meiomi Pinot Noir 2011
California, Usa$26.95
Super silky smooth and sweet on the palate. It tastes like other varietals might have been added (Syrah???). This is an easy drinker and a crowd pleaser, but too soft and jammy to be considered a serious wine with a rating of 92pts by WS... really?
