Duck Shoot Pinot Noir 2010, Yarra Valley, Victoria
South Australia, Australia$14.25
Light and crisp. Cherry & vanilla on the nose and palate. Nothing really special though. A nice table wine.
Sebastiani Cabernet Sauvignon 2008, Sonoma County
California, Usa$19.95
easy going, soft and smooth. lots of sweet vanilla oak and ripe cherry flavours. Nice but flaccid and flabby.
Sue Ann Staff Loved By Lu Riesling 2011, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$16.95
Fruity and fun. A tad sweet for me.
Highway 12 Highwayman 2010, Sonoma County
California, Usa$22.75
Sweet cherry tobacco, vanilla oak, herbal tea flavours. Nice fine grained tannins. Medium bodied.
Viña Robles Huerhuero Red 4 2009, Paso Robles
California, Usa$14.75
Sometimes wine is simply for drinking and enjoying...you don't always have to get so critical. This is a delicious wine full of sunshine, ripe fruit, black pepper & oaky vanilla. It's a palate coating delight!
Cusumano Jalé Chardonnay 2011, Igt Sicilia
Sicily, Italy$17.25
Tasted at IC4, It was the first wine i tasted, and it was a pleasant surprise for an italian Chard. Smooth and coats the palate.
Roux Père & Fils La Perrière Mercurey 2011
Burgundy, France$19.95
Insanely light, almost watery. After it opens up there's cherry cola, vanilla notes that mesh with slight hints of mushroom. The finish is watery.
Zuccardi Serie A Malbec 2011, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$15.95
Classic Malbec...Earthy muddy notes mingle with stewed cherries. The palate is structured and dense - iodine like. A little bitter (cherry pit) on the finish. Dirty & Classic Malbec. Love it.
Kew Vineyard Fume Blanc 2012, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$19.95
Tasted the 2013 Vintage. Offers a bridge between lush fruit and salty clean crispness. Savour this beauty chilled while sitting in the shade on a hot Summer day.
Detour Red (Gamay Pinot Noir) 2012, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$12.75
Outstanding for the price! Reminds me of really well made bourgogne...very burgundian indeed. It's got waxy cherries and an earthy funkiness. The ripe cherries really stand out. It's suave with super fine tannins. Quality stuff, i'd love to throw it into a blind tasting.
