Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.

Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

65% Sauvignon Blanc and 35% Semillon that spent 9 months in neutral French oak. Nice, elegant nose of floral, yellow citrus, grapefruit, and herbs with subtle vanilla notes. The medium-bodied palate is rounded and textured with peach notes joining the aroma replays. Acids are bright and clean. Some spice and tart notes on the mid-palate. Pleasing stone fruit flavours linger on the long finish. Tasted Jan/2019.

Screw cap enclosure. I like the fairly intense and complex nose that offers cassis, mint, black cherry, licorice, and vanillin oak spices. The medium-full bodied palate has chewy, well-integrated tannins that are quite smooth. More black plum on the flavour profile, followed by cassis, black cherry, oak spice, and licorice notes. Acids are juicy and balanced. Spice and mocha chocolate notes on the mid-palate, lingering through to the long finish. Enjoy over the next 5-6 years. Tasted June/2019.

Beautifully fragrant & highly aromatic nose of black cherry, raspberry, Damson plum & subtle spice w/ some earthy & mushroomy characters while continuing to evolve in the glass. It's mid-weighted & well-structured on the palate w/ lovely black cherry, sour cherry, raspberry & Damson plum flavours joined by savoury wet earth, beet root & subtle spice & smoky notes adding further complexity. Touches of tea leaf on the mid-palate. It's nicely textured w/ some grip & a pleasant, lightly chalky mouthfeel, while acids are fresh & succulent. Smoky & savoury on the long, juicy finish. Tasted Feb. 2023.

Fresh and floral with tropical fruit aromas. Herbally notes add complexity. It is medium-bodied and crunchy on the palate with very nice aroma replays plus some saline minerality. Long, crisp finish. Tasted May/2019.

Medium-high intensity nose is clean and elegant with kiwi, guava, gooseberry and passionfruit aromas. It is medium-bodied and ripe on the textured palate with nice aroma replays. There's a kiss of sweetness, but hidden by the juicy acidity. Long and structured on the finish. Tasted June/2019.
