Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Malivoire Vivant Rosé 2018, VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$19.95
100% Pinot Noir that is fresh and vibrant with red berry, red currant, cherry, grapefruit, and citrus aromas that are a touch honeyed. The medium+ bodied palate is fleshy with good fruit concentration and a touch viscous. Nicely dry aroma replays on the flavour profile with touches of mineral on the crisp finish, with very good length. Tasted July/2019.
Susana Balbo Signature Barrel Fermented Chardonnay 2016, Finca Dominio Gualta, Gualtallary, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$20.95
Smoky, buttered popcorn, baked apple, wood influenced aromas with touches of pear. It is full-bodied with a tight, spicy palate and juicy acids. More baked apple and pear flavours. Long, juicy finish. Tasted Aug/2019.
Trapiche Terroir Series Finca Coletto Malbec 2014, Single Vineyard, El Peral, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$42.95
Tasted Aug/2019.
Château La Fleur Peyrabon 2014, Ac Pauillac
Bordeaux, France$49.95
Blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, and 7% Petit Verdot. Medium-high to high intensity aromatics feature lovely red cherries, dried floral, graphite, cedar oak, and some savoury notes mingling in between, all of which appears very nicely on the balanced flavour profile. It's full-bodied with gritty tannins and vibrant acids. Long, juicy finish. Enjoy over the next 5-7 years. Tasted Aug/2019.
Gabriel Meffre Laurus Châteauneuf Du Pape 2015, Ac
Rhône, France$55.95
A rather early maturing blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah that has a medium-high to high intensity nose of white pepper, spice, blackberry, complex oak spice, and stewed berry characters. It is medium-bodied and dry with some savoury and blackberry notes joining the aromas replays on the palate. It is structured with finely grained tannins and very good acidity. Shows finesse and elegance on the finish, with excellent length. Tasted Aug/2019.
Nals Margreid Punggl Pinot Grigio 2016, Doc Südtirol Alto Adige
Alto Adige-Trentino, Italy$29.95
Medium+ intensity nose is ripe with lemon citrus and peach that mingle with flinty mineral and wet stone characters. It is medium-full body and quite substantial on the fleshy, densely packed palate with orchard fruit and mineral flavours. It's a touch creamy with balanced acids. Apple notes linger on the long, juicy finish. Tasted Nov/2019.
Kono Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$18.95
Screw cap. Fragrant nose of key lime, passionfruit, citrus, kiwi, guava tropical fruit and hints of asparagus aromas wafting from the glass. It is medium-full bodied and concentrated, brimming with vibrant, zesty acidity that freshens the palate. More lime, passion fruit, citrus, and tropical fruit flavours dance on the zesty and ripe palate. It's quite juicy on the mid-palate, while mineral notes appear on the long, dry finish. Highly recommended. Tasted Sept/2019.
