Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Tiefenbrunner Pinot Grigio 2018, Igt Vigneti Delle Dolomiti
Alto Adige-Trentino, Italy$19.95
Medium+ intensity nose has lemony, orchard fruit, citrus, and touches of herb, with pleasing replays on the medium+ bodied, fleshy palate with good fruit concentration. Acids are well-balanced with touches of saline arriving on the mid-palate and lingering through to the long finish. Tasted Oct/2019.
Pondview Riesling Icewine 2016, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario (200ml)
Ontario, Canada$26.25
Tasted June/2019.
Gérard Bertrand Grand Terroir Tautavel 2016, Aop Cotes Du Roussillon Villages Tautavel
Roussillon, France$19.95
This blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan has a medium+ intensity nose of sweet oak spice, dark red cherry-berry, pepper spice, and hints of dried fruit characters. It is full-bodied with ripe, chalky tannins and dried cherry, floral and wet earth flavours that are supported by fresh acids. Finish length is very good. Tasted Aug/2019.
Marmitons Gastronomy Chardonnay 2017, St. David's Bench
Ontario, Canada$19.95
Screw cap. Lovely butter, golden apple, pear, leesy, and lemon citrus aromas with touches of vanilla oak rising out of the glass. On the well-balanced, medium-full bodied palate it is creamy with nice concentration and fine acidity supporting the apple, pear, butter, and vanilla flavours. Leesy and yeasty characters linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Jan/2021.
Flat Rock Gravity Pinot Noir 2016, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$34.95
Tasted Sept/2019.
Queenston Mile Vineyard Chardonnay 2016, VQA St. David's Bench
Ontario, Canada$35.00
From a hot year, this offers subtle ripe apple, pear, and vanilla aromas, with much of the same on the medium+ bodied and fleshy palate. Finish length is very good. Tasted Apr/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Geyser Peak Block Collection Walking Tree Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County
California, Usa$29.95
Open, fragrant and perfumed with ripe cassis, currant, and spice aromas. It is full-bodied with chalky, grippy and structured tannins. Fresh acids lift the palate that has nicely balanced aroma replays. Excellent finish length. Still young - better in 3-5 years. Tasted June/2019.
Château Des Charmes Blanc De Blancs Sparkling 2015, Traditional Method, VQA Niagara On The Lake, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$34.95
Medium-high intensity aromatics offer autolytic, brioche, fresh lemon citrus curd, and hints of apple and pear aromas. The dry, medium bodied palate is crisp and more citrusy flavoured, plus some vanilla and baked bread notes. It has frothy mousse and balanced acidity, and the finish length is very good to excellent. Tasted June/2019.
