Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

R. López De Heredia Viña Bosconia Reserva 2007, Doca Rioja
Spain$48.95
A blend of 80% Tempranillo, 15% Garnacha, and 5% Mazuelo/Graciano, this has a soft, medium+ intensity nose of blackberry, earthy woody spice, and plum with mineral notes. It is medium-full bodied with very mineral replays followed by red berry and sweet spice flavours. Tannins, although soft at this stage, are still quite structured. It has very good, mouthwatering acids, while long finish ends with sweet tobacco notes. Should drink well for another 6-8 years. Tasted Sept/2019.

Rodney Strong Chalk Hill Chardonnay 2017, Sonoma County
California, Usa$28.95
The elegant, medium+ intensity nose offers vanilla, apple, and pear aromas, all of which shines on the refined, medium-bodied palate joined by oak spice flavours. Acids are fresh and lively, while the long finish has more appealing buttery vanilla notes. Tasted Oct/2019.
Bischöflichen Weingüter Trier Dom Spätlese Riesling 2011, Qualitätswein
Mosel, Germany$21.95
Medium-high intensity nose is elegant and refined with ripe apple, petrol, white peach, and citrus aromas and flavours. It quite sweet on the medium+ bodied palate with bracing acids that balance the sweetness. Yellow cherry notes join the flavour profile. It has a juicy mid-palate and excellent length on the finish. Tasted Oct/2019.
