Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Antinori Badia A Passignano Gran Selezione Chianti Classico 2015, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$49.95
Highly aromatic with rustic, forest floor, and dark red cherry notes. It is medium-bodied on the elegant palate with very smooth, fine tannins and lovely, spicy aroma replays. A touch warming, but otherwise well-balanced. Excellent length on the finish with plenty of finesse. Tasted Sept/2019.
Adelsheim Pinot Noir 2016, Willamette Valley
Oregon, Usa$37.25
Medium-high intensity nose has subtle, yet complex aromas of cherry, oak spice, leafy, earthy, beetroot and raspberry notes. Much more intensity on the flavour profile with lovely aroma replays on the medium-bodied palate. It has medium-level tannins, balanced acidity, and excellent finish length. Tasted Oct/2018.

Badia A Passignano Chianti Classico Gran Selezione 2012, Chianti Classico
Tuscany, Italy$49.95
The medium-high intensity nose seems shy, but offers bright cherry, clove, baking spice, and some dried cherry and flower aromas. It's medium-bodied on the palate with very nice aroma replays and smooth, fine tannins. Finely balanced overall with fresh acids. Shows excellent length on the finish with earth and forest floor notes. Tasted Oct/2017.
Stéphane Aviron Vieilles Vignes Morgon Côte Du Py 2014, Ac
Beaujolais, France$23.95
Medium-high intensity nose offers compelling (volcanic) smoky mineral, spicy, savoury, dark berry, and blackberry aromas. It is light-to-mid-weighted with lovely, well-balanced aroma replays. Medium level tannins are smooth and offer some structure. Nicely balanced overall and with good acidity. Finish length is excellent. Highly recommended. Tasted May/2019. Score: 90+ pts
São Miguel Escolha Dos Enologos 2015, Vinho Regional Alentejano

Domaine Drouhin Oregon Pinot Noir 2015, Dundee Hills
Oregon, Usa$51.95
Highly aromatic, clean and elegant with earthy, beetroot, raspberry, sour cherry, and dark cherry aromas. It's light-to-medium bodied with very nicely balanced aroma replays. Elegantly structured with a nice mineral texture. Smooth, refined tannins. Very long, balanced finish. Enjoy over the next 6-8 years. Tasted Apr/2018.
Stratus Red 2015, Niagara Lakeshore
Ontario, Canada$48.20
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Malbec has a rich, medium-high intensity nose of crushed blackberry, raspberry, and currant, with hints of floral and leather and well-integrated oak spice notes. It's medium-full bodied and nicely textured on the palate with structured and refined tannins that have some grip. Lovely aroma replays are well-balanced. Very good acidity. Some savoury nuances on the long finish. Approachable now, better in 1-2 years and drink to 2026. Tasted Nov/2018.
Silver Oak Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon 2014, Alexander Valley, Sonoma County
