Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Chatelain Les Charmes Pouilly Fumé 2017, Ac
Loire, France$27.95
The medium intensity nose is flinty-minerally with stone fruit, lemon, grapefruit and citrus aromas. The medium-bodied palate is spicy with appealing stone fruit, citrus, and grapefruit flavours, plus some chamomile notes as 10% of this Sauvignon Blanc is aged in oak. Acids are juicy, crisp, clean and refreshing. Lovely spice and mineral notes longer on the long finish. Tasted Jan/2020. Score: 90+ pts

Very complex, medium+ intensity nose offers lemony, yellow fruit, yoghurt/lactic, apple, vanilla, and white peach aromas. On the medium+ bodied palate, it is nicely textured, and a touch reductive with nicely balanced aroma replays. It's fresh with balanced, juicy acids. Château Le Boscq 2015, Cru Bourgeois, Ac Saint Estèphe
Bordeaux, France$49.95
Blend of 48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 47% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot. This is highly aromatic with new wood and cherry aromas followed by some floral, earthy, and forest floor notes. It is full-bodied with firm, grippy tannins, and very good acids. Pleasing aroma replays on the palate and excellent finish length. A big, structured wine that needs 5-6 years of cellar time. Tasted Apr/2019.
