Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Tasted Apr/2019. Score: 90+ pts
Domaine Du Grapillon D'or Gigondas 2016, Ac
Rhône, France$34.95
A blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, this has all kinds of red berry aromas like ripe, dark red cherry, sappy, cherry liqueur, raspberry, stewed/baked red berry, eventually revealing floral and pepper spice notes. It is medium-full bodied on the palate with very good fruit concentration with more spice, red berry, cherry, and hints of peppery spice flavours. It is structured with chalky tannins, balanced acidity, while the finish length is excellent. Tasted Aug/2019.

Torres Mas La Plana Cabernet Sauvignon 2013, Do Penedès
Penedès, Spain$70.00
Ripe, fairly intense nose offers red and black fruits, currant, cassis, and spice notes. It is full bodied with herbally flavours followed by lovely aroma replays. It is structured with smooth tannins and very good acidity. Nicely balanced throughout with excellent length on the finish. Tasted Sept/2018.
Masi Mazzano Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico 2012, Docg
Veneto, Italy$134.95
The highly aromatic nose delivers lovely fig, raisin, dried dark berry compote, cocoa, and slightly bitter notes with a savoury core. On the full-bodied, structured palate, it has savoury, cocoa, and spice replays supported very good acidity and polished, textured, and structured tannins. The finish is long with savoury cocoa and earthy notes, with excellent length. Last tasted Nov/2021.
Dog Point Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$27.95
Highly aromatic nose that is notably reductive, eventually revealing green pepper, herb, and citrus aromas. It is medium-full bodied and nicely textured with guava, tropical fruit, kiwi, and tree fruit flavours. Acids are fresh. Tangy notes arrive mid-palate and continue through to the long finish. Enjoy over the next 4-5 years. Tasted Nov/2019.

Earthy, umami, forest floor, and savoury with hints of cherry and clove aromas with high intensity. On the medium-full bodied palate, this has chalky tannins and nice savoury aroma replays plus some dark berry and blackberry flavours. Acids are very good. Rustic, savoury and earthy on the long finish. Tasted Sept/2017.
