Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Southbrook Estate Grown Small Lot Wild Ferment Chardonnay 2013, Four Mile Creek

Ripe pear, green apple and hints of butter aromas from the cork. Elegant bouquet of coconut, pear, Golden apple, with hints of honeycomb and white flower. The palate is medium-bodied and dry with vibrant acidity and honey-tinged aromas replays. A saline note comes through mid-palate. Finishes long with mineral, honey, apple, floral and vanilla aftertaste. Some intriguing coffee notes emerge as it warms up in the glass. Lots going on in this yummy Chardonnay. Eminently drinkable now and should be better in a couple of years. Tasted Dec/2015.

La Ferme Du Mont Côtes Jugunda Gigondas 2013, Ap
Rhône, France$24.75
This red wine is a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah, showing medium+ intensity aromas of purple fruit, pepper, plum and hint of meatiness. On the palate, it's medium-to-full bodied with balanced acids and pepper, spice and licorice notes. It has medium-to-firm chalky tannins that would benefit from 2-3 years bottle ageing, but drinking well now. Good structure. Finishes long with violet notes. Tasted July/2015.

Medium+ intensity aromas are minerally with warm, rich, and ripe apple and pear notes. The palate is lean and tight with clean, balanced aroma replays, plus some buttery notes on the flavour profile. It has crisp, balanced acidity and excellent finish length. Tasted Oct/2016.

Frescobaldi Perano Chianti Classico 2022, Docg

Mainly Sangiovese, this has a shy nose that is a touch reductive, slowly revealing spiced Morello cherry, and red berry aromas, plus hints of floral and sweet spices. The medium+ bodied palate is dry and flavoursome with lovely floral, cherry, and sweet spice replays supported by very good acidity and supple, textured tannins. Savoury, spiced cherry notes linger on the long, well-balanced finish. Tasted May 2025.

The medium to medium-high intensity nose delivers ripe and fruity aromas of citrus, lemon, apple, and pear. It is medium-full bodied and rounded on the dry palate with lovely aromas replays joined by spice and leesy mineral flavours. It's supported by fresh acidity, while leesy mineral, and savoury earth notes carry through to the long, tasty finish. Tasted June 2026.

It's well-balanced throughout w/ refreshing acidity & smooth, elegant & fine-grained tannins. Tobacco, spice & savoury earth notes linger on long, well-structured & balanced finish. Tasted Dec. 2025. Score: 91+ pts

Fresh and bright, the lifted, the medium-high to highly aromatic nose has lovely dark red cherry, raspberry, beet root, savoury earth, and mineral notes. On the dry, medium+ bodied palate it has lovely, well-balanced aroma replays joined by tea leaf and spice on the flavour profile. It's supported by juicy acidity and supple, gently grippy tannins that offer a nice, textured mouthfeel. A touch minerally and savoury on the long, juicy, and crisp finish. Should be even better in 2-3 years. Tasted Apr. 2026. Score: 92+ pts

The medium to medium-full bodied palate is dry and ripe with lovely, well-balanced aroma replays joined by spice notes on the nicely textured flavour profile. It's well-balanced throughout, with delicious, tangy, peach, and grapefruit citrus notes on the long, textured finish. Tasted Apr. 2026.
