Crafted with Criolla, it has enticing, fragrant aromas of wild berries, cherry, currant & blackberry joined by funky earthy, barnyard notes that blow off with time in the glass. It's fresh and lively on the dry, light-to-mid-weighted palate with deliciously complex wild berry, cherry, currant, and blackberry replays, plus dried spices, thyme & mint adding intrigue. Gently tangy on the mid-palate, it's also nicely textured with a supple grip & succulent, juicy acids. Crisp bubbles & with some leesy mineral notes lingering on the long finish. Tasted Apr. 2023. The richly structured, chewy, full-bodied palate is a touch warming with more sandalwood, dark berry, blackberry, walnut, clove, and cocoa replays supported by fresh, lively acidity. Ripe, structured tannins have some youthful grip. Long, juicy, structured, and savoury finish with sandalwood, cocoa, and clove spice notes. Tasted Jan/2022. Score: 91+ pts

Lovely, slowly emerging & complex aromas of Indian spices, red and black cherry, underbrush, forest floor, olive, pot pourri & sandalwood rise out of the glass. It's medium-full to full-bodied with very good depth & delicious flavours of red and black cherry, spices, cedar wood, underbrush, and forest floor in a dry, lightly tangy profile. It has very good, juicy acidity, while the well-structured, dusty textured tannins are lightly chalky & grippy on the back palate. Cedary, sandalwood, and earthy notes linger on the long savoury finish, with excellent length. Tasted June 2023. Score: 92+ pts

It's full-ish bodied on the dry, chewy palate w/ very good concentration & complex, lightly tangy flavours of ripe dark berry, blackberry, currant, tomato leaf & some pipe tobacco & graphite notes. It has fresh, juicy & well-balanced acidity, while structured tannins are smooth, refined & well-integrated. Subtle chalky mouthfeel on back palate. Savoury, graphite mineral notes on long finish. Very good, structured acidity, while youthful, structured & chalky tannins are integrating nicely. Well-balanced w/ red cherry, floral notes + savoury earth & minerals on long, crisp finish w/ excellent length. Tasted Sept. 2024.
