Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.

Elegantly fragrant on the nose with ripe lemon citrus, tropical fruit, lemon curd, and peach with touches of sweet vanilla. It is medium-full bodied on the creamy and spicy palate with more lemon, tropical fruit, pineapple, and peach flavours accented with subtle vanilla oak spice notes. It has juicy, mouth-watering acids while vanilla-tinged lemon and leesy notes linger on the long, juicy finish. Tasted Dec/2020.

On the medium-high intensity nose, this Sangiovese delivers dried red cherry, wood spice, and earthy aromas that are a touch candied, plus whiffs of dried floral, all of which come through on the delicious, medium-full bodied, well-structured palate with dusty and chalky tannins. It has juicy, mouth-watering acidity and a long, savoury finish. Will reward ageing and drink to the end of the decade. Tasted May 2022.

Blend of 42% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Syrah, 9% Cabernet Franc, 8% Carmenère, 4% Malbec, and 2% Petit Verdot. Elegant, highly aromatic nose of evergreen, currant, cassis, earthy wood, blackberry, and herbs. It's medium-full to full-bodied with very nice aroma replays plus peppery spice, violet, and floral notes adding further complexity on the flavour profile. Structured with fine-grained tannins and fresh acids. Still a bit young. Juicy with excellent length on the savoury, earthy, and long finish. Tasted Nov. 2021.

The nose is fragrant and inviting with lovely black tea, dark berry-cherry, smoky, and raspberry aromas with some reductive characters. On the light-to-medium bodied palate it is dry with very nice dark fruited, savoury, earthy, and stony flavours. It has fresh, balanced acidity, along with light, elegant tannins. The finish is long and crisp. Tasted Apr. 2024.

Highly aromatic nose delivers floral, cassis, red and black fruits, dark cherry, and subtle sweet spice tones. It's full-bodied on the elegant palate with smooth, refined, and textured tannins. Lovely, balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile supported by mouth-watering acids. Some grippiness towards the back end, while the finish length is excellent. Enjoy over the next 10+ years. Tasted Nov/2021.

The fresh nose seems a bit shy, offering lovely aromas of vanilla, pear, apple, citrus, earthy minerals, and doughy notes. It's medium-full bodied and dry with a nicely textured palate offering earthy mineral and orchard fruit flavours. Textured with clean acidity and a touch spicy on the mid-palate. Earthy mineral notes linger on the long, savoury finish. Tasted May 2025. Score: 91+ pts

From 3 sites at different elevations near the lake in the Beamsville Bench appellation, this has a fresh, medium-high intensity nose of ripe red cherry, currant, peppery, and savoury spice aromas layered over mushroom and earthy notes. The crunchy, medium to medium-full bodied palate has lovely peppery spice, cherry, currant, black tea, and savoury spice flavours. Acids are succulent and well-balanced, while the smooth tannins are finely textured. Earthy and mushroom notes in a savoury profile linger on the long, memorable finish. Tasted May 2025. Score: 92+ pts

Perhaps better than ever, this has a fresh, highly aromatic nose that is ripe with kiwi, guava, passion fruit, gooseberry, and nettle aromas, plus mineral and grassy notes adding further complexity. The creamy, medium bodied palate is dry with good weight and a finely tuned acidity. All the aromas come through with exquisite balance on the flavour profile, while leesy mineral and spice notes linger on the very long finish. Tasted Oct. 2024.
