Lovely, fragrant aromas of impressive intensity offers attractive notes of tea leaf, dark red cherry, black raspberry, spice, earth, beet root, and some exotic spices for added complexity. It's light-to-mid-weighted and dry, with elegant tannins supporting the black raspberry, cherry, spice, beet root, and dried herb flavours. It's got juicy acidity, while the finish is long, earthy, and savoury. Tasted Apr. 2024.

Screw cap. Lovely, intense, and elegant nose offers leesy and paraffin aromas mingling with baked apple-pear, stone fruit, herbs, and touches of lemon citrus adding further complexities. The full-bodied palate is rich, creamy, and textured with complex layers of honey, vanilla, oak spice, baked apple-pear, white pepper, white floral, and dried herb flavours in a dry profile. Acids are fresh, zesty, and textured, while leesy mineral with touches of baked apple, dried herb, and citrus linger on the long, juicy, lip-smacking finish. Tasted July 2022.

This blend of 55% Sangiovese and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon has a clean, ripe, medium-high to highly aromatic nose of dark cherry-berry, currant, and clove with hints of cassis, as well as elegant wood spice aromas. Some beautiful floral notes emerge with time in glass. On the medium to medium-full bodied palate it offers elegant, fine-grained, and gritty tannins that have some structure. Very nice aroma replays are nicely balanced on the palate. Clove, currant, and dark cherry replays linger on the long, succulent finish. Tasted Sept. 2022.

Medium-high intensity nose is deep & dark fruited, slightly reductive & bretty, but laying underneath are complex aromas of spice, black and red fruit, currant, forest floor, earthy, and stony mineral notes. Impressively structured, medium-full bodied palate it has lovely dark fruited blackberry, blueberry, stony mineral & dried spice notes with hints of black plum. Succulent acids are fresh & juicy, while the suave, structured tannins have a slightly chalky grip. Some warmth on mid-palate, but still well-balanced. Excellent length on stony mineral, slightly tart berry finish. Tasted Oct/2021.

Clean, elegant, and fresh aromas of lemon citrus, white floral, and ripe orchard fruit with subtle herb, spiciness and leesy mineral aromas rising out of the glass. It's medium-full bodied with lovely aromas replays and fine, well-delineated acidity gliding across the palate. Elegant and drinking beautifully at this stage. Lightly spicy on the slightly chalky textured, juicy mid-palate. Lovely citrus and apple, along with a fine mineral streak lingers on the well-balanced finish, with excellent length. Fragrant, perfumed, and highly aromatic, it is subtly nose-tingling and quite complex with ripe tropical fruit, passion fruit, guava, kiwi, mango, and citrus aromas with delicate floral tones and touches of rock melon and lemongrass. It's medium-full bodied and fleshy with very good concentration and ripe flavour replays of passion fruit, kiwi, guava, zesty citrus, mango, and lemongrass. Nicely textured on the mid-palate, while acids are fresh, juicy, and well-balanced. Leans more floral and citrusy with a sense of minerality on the very long, zesty finish. Tasted Aug. 2022. Score: 92+ pts

The 2018 Durigutti Proyecto Las Compuertas Cinco Suelos Malbec has a highly aromatic and energetic nose that offers attractive aromas of red and black fruits, raspberry and blackberry that mingle with savoury stony minerals and spices. It's medium-full bodied with lovely aroma replays lifted by fresh, balanced acidity and fine-grained tannins that are slightly chalky and grippy, tapering to a savoury, minerally, slightly smoky finish, with excellent length. Really nicely balanced throughout. Tasted Aug/2021.

100% Sangiovese. Medium+ intensity nose features dark berry, spice, clove, and cherry aromas, all of which come through on the wood-spiced, medium-full bodied palate. It has very good acidity and chalky tannins that will reward with time in cellar. Hints of violet and sweet oak linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Oct/2019.

This 100% Sangiovese has a lovely, open, fragrant, and fresh nose delivering aromas of Damson plum, red cherry, spices, sandalwood, and savoury wet earth with rose floral accents. It's medium-full bodied on the chewy, structured palate with very appealing Damson plum, red cherry, savoury earth, and sweet spice flavours. Acids are fresh and lively, while the ripe, youthful tannins have some grip that will reward ageing. Savoury with lovely flavour replays lingering on the long, youthful finish. Tasted May 2022.

Made with 100% Coda di Volpe, this is fairly quiet on the nose, but the medium-full bodied palate is concentrated and structured with plenty of character.
