Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Loimer Grüner Veltliner Trocken 2011, Dac Kamptal

Screw cap. Medium-high intense aromas of lemon, flint and mineral waft from the glass. It's medium-bodied and extra dry with lemon/mineral replays and some zesty citrus on the palate. Lots of spice arriving on the mid-palate which fades away to reveal a zesty and oily texture. Lively acidity with a long, mineral-driven finish. Very nice. Tasted Nov/2013.
Bodega Séptima Séptimo Día Malbec 2011, Mendoza

Black cherry and sweet plum aromas from the cork. Medium-high intensity aromas from the glass which feature a sweet juicy core of blackberries, plum, and some cherry, with hints of vanilla. Medium-full bodied with racy acidity. Dark plum, dark currant, tar and oak on the palate. Integrated tannins and long, bitter, cocoa-tinged finish. Nicely balanced throughout! Tasted Dec./2013.
Cusumano Noà 2008

White grapefruit, lemon and mineral aromas from the cork. Honeyed fruit, baked apple, with whiffs of mineral and nutty aromas of medium intensity from the glass. On the palate, it's medium-to-full bodied and dry with pleasing aroma replays. Very bright acids linger through to the long, minerally finish. Good balance overall. Recommended. Tasted June/2015.
