Screw cap. The medium-high to highly aromatic nose is fresh and intense with spice and stony mineral aromas surrounding notes of dark berry, blackberry, tobacco, and dark chocolate with flecks of violet. The medium-full bodied palate has very good structure with dry, savoury flavours of chocolate, spice, tobacco, plus dark berry and blackberry notes. On the salty mid-palate it has fresh, juicy acidity, while the tannins are smooth and well-rounded. Savoury chocolate and earthy notes on the fresh finish, with very good length. Tasted Apr. 2022.

The medium intensity nose seems a bit shy, offering delicate citrusy, orchard fruit, pear, and apple aromas. On the medium-full bodied palate it has clean, well-balanced acidity that lifts the minerally, apple, and pear flavours with touches of bubblegum. Very good length on the finish. Tasted Nov. 2022. Score: 88+ pts

Screw cap. Clean, crisp and generous medium+ to medium-high intensity aromas of lime citrus, kiwi, guava, gooseberry, herbs, and green apple, with leesy mineral undertones. On the dry, medium-bodied palate it offers crisp and vibrant acidity that lifts the lime citrus, kiwi, guava, gooseberry, leesy mineral, and herbal flavours. It is nicely balanced throughout, with lime, kiwi, and gooseberry flavours tapering to leesy mineral notes on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Jan. 2024.

This blend of 70% Chardonnay, 20% Chenin Blanc, and 10% Mauzac has a fresh, elegant nose of medium-high intensity that offers aromas of white flowers, bread, toasty, and citrus with a sense of minerality. The soft, medium+ bodied palate has a kiss of sweetness on the flavour profile with notes of ripe peach, white flowers, citrus, honey, and toast with mineral undertones. Soft and mildly structured with fine acidity and elegant bubbles. Well-balanced, while finishing crisp, dry, and long with lovely peach, citrus, white floral, and mineral notes. Tasted Aug. 2022.

Screw cap. The lifted, fragrant nose offers lovely minty herbal notes backed by mocha chocolate, ripe dark berries, sweet vanillin oak, and earth with a touch of jammy and black pepper spice notes. It's medium-full bodied, slightly warming, and very ripe on the palate with black-blue fruits, mocha, vanilla, black pepper, and earthy oak spice flavours. Acids are fresh, juicy and saliva-inducing, while the refined tannins have a pleasing, subtle chalky grip. Minty dark berries and mocha linger on the persistent finish. Tasted June 2022. Score: 88+ pts

Screw cap. Blend of 80% Shiraz and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. The intense nose is refined and elegant with dark berry, blackcurrant, black pepper, meaty, and savoury earth aromas with hints of blackberry jam, cedar oak, and chocolate. It's medium-full bodied on the dry palate with smooth, fine-grained tannins supporting the dark berry, currant, meaty, peppery spice, and cedar oak flavours. Succulent acids are well-balanced, while savoury oak notes linger on the long, juicy, slightly tangy finish. Tasted June 2022.

The medium-high intensity nose is fresh with dark red cherry, raspberry, currant, bramble, and earthy beet root aromas. On the dry, medium-full bodied palate it has very good structure with lovely dark cherry, black tea, oak, spice, and some pepper spice notes. Acids are fresh, while the light tannins provide good structure. Earthy and mineral notes linger on the long, savoury finish. Enjoyable now, but still a bit young. I would tuck this away for 2-3 years. Tasted Mar. 2024.

Organic and biodynamic, this estate grown 100% Vidal has medium-high intensity and appealing aromas of sage, tea leaf, citrus, and savoury herbs, all of which come through very nicely in a well-balanced fashion on the dry palate. Pleasant grippiness on the mid-palate, along with balanced acidity. Flavour replays linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Apr. 2022.
