Castello Di Collemassari Montecucco Rosso Riserva 2016, D.O.C.

The wine is a blend of 80% Sangiovese, 10% Ciliegiolo, and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a bit of age and the fruit flavours lean towards the dry and dark side. The wine is not a typical red fruit Sangiovese, the 10% Cab dominates the taste as time passes. It has earthy aromas of violet, licorice, red currant, black cherry, cassis and dried herbs. The flavours are similar with mineral notes and hints of basil on the medium finish.- April 2024

Decoy Merlot 2019, Sonoma County

Aromas of cherry, cedar, oak and violet. Juicy cherries on the palate along with some dried herbs, black pepper and hint of plum. Medium plus acidity with soft tannins.

Mission Hill Terroir Collection Vista's Edge Cabernet Franc 2020, Okanagan Valley

Very good Canadian Cab Franc with aromas of bell pepper, cherry, and some earthy aromas. Flavours of cedar, cherry, blackberry, and pepper. Should be even better in a few years. - Tasted Sept 2023

Wine Art Techni Alipias Red Blend 2018, P.G.I. Drama

A nice complex wine with aromas of smoke, leather, tree bark, forest floor, black fruits, a hint of cherry, perfume, oak, and saline. Always changing once, the green notes blow away into the background.

The palate is the same with cedar, vanilla, clove, and chocolate. Medium acidity and softening tannins. This wine started like Chilean wine then found its own identity, from an 88 and worked itself to the above score.

Great value at $21 CDN.

Mary Taylor Anjou Rouge 2020, A.C.

80% Cab Franc and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon Dried herbs, cherry, ripe strawberry, and violet aromas followed through on the tongue with a bit of chalk tannins. - March 2024

Fossil Point Pinot Noir 2018, Edna Valley, Central Coast

Ruby colour with medium-intensity aromas of potpourri, cherry, orange, incense, and grass. Low tannins with high acidity with flavours of orange, black cherry, cranberry, minerals, and some green notes with a medium plus finish. A nice value pinot that evolves as time goes by.

Aromas of perfume, black cherry, dried herbs, baking spice and vanilla. On the palate were black cherry, raspberry, smoke, licorice and thyme. Nice juicy wine

Brigaldara “Case Vecie” Valpolicella Superiore 2020, D.O.C.

Aromas of violet, charred bell pepper, cherry, red currant, and some earthy aromas. Flavours of dusty black pepper, blueberry, red plum, minerals, and menthol.-2024

Attems Pinot Grigio 2022, Doc Friuli

Aromas of white flowers, honey, and apple. Has a nice crisp taste of lime, grass, honey, cream, pepper, and lemon zest. High acidity with medium plus finish. Great value at $17

Rustenberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2019, W.O. Simonsberg Stellenbosch

Enticing aromas of red currant, cotton candy, black raspberry, blackberry, perfume, and dried herbs. Yet the tongue was not like the nose with all the red notes.

Tasted like ripe blackberry, game, minerals, cedar, peat-like smoke on the tongue that I loved, and menthol to finish off. Approachable tannins (90 min decant) with medium acidity and medium + finish. An absolute steal at $19.95.- Feb 2024
