Rutherford Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Napa Valley

This wine felt like I was smelling a South American wine at some point and southern Rhone the next but never Napa.

Aromas of game, bell pepper, red plum, Indian spice (turmeric), cherry, and perfume. Flavors of vanilla, black cherry, bell pepper, cherry Cola, pepper, mint, and tree bark after some time. Fine soft grain tannins with medium acidity. Fantastic with BBQ ribs- Sept 2023

Chateau Trois Moulins Haut Medoc 2016, A.C.

You know when they say Bordeaux is one of the best values in the world? Well, here we are. Lots of sediment in this bottle. Medium plus intensity aromas of tobacco, vanilla, smoke, menthol, and violet. Medium flavors of tobacco, blackberry, oak, pepper, and minerals. Medium acidity and tannins. Fantastic with Charcuterie board and pizza, the latter brings out more of the last remaining fruit. So, drink now for the fruit and keep going for tertiary notes. Drink this at 18c.- Tasted July 2023

Aromas of grass , honey,pear and peach. Palate is soft with honey, apricot , butterscotch and cream. Wonderful wine

Château Larose Trintaudon 2014, Ac Haut Médoc

A little bit of sediment in the bottle. 45% Cab, 51% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot.

Plum and earthy aromas hit you right away then cherry and raspberries.

Taste of cherry, raspberry, potting soil, cedar, cassis, and a hint of plum. Subtle fine-grain tannins with medium minus acidity.

Unánime Gran Vino Tinto 2017, Uco Valley

Deep purple with medium-intensity aromas of violet, roasted bell peppers, dried herbs, cherry, blackberry,cassis smoke, oak, and vanilla.

Medium plus intensity flavors of black fruits, cherry, oak, vanilla, white pepper, dried herbs, and chili peppers. After 2 hours the finish starts to turn to sweet bell peppers, a juicy wine with medium plus acidity and soft tannins.

At first, it was like a Malbec then it turned into a medoc wine, lovely. This will be even better with age.

Aromas of cranberry, hibiscus, smoke, rosemary, and red fruit. Flavours of cherry, dried fruit, perfume, white pepper, balsamic, and minerals. Solid Pinot. Oct 2023

Château La France Delhomme Cru Bourgeiois 2016, A.C. Médoc

Soft beautiful red fruit dominates the nose; strawberry, raspberry and a hint of cranberry jam. Mushrooms and oak follow. Felt like I was smelling a chianti.

The palate is oak, mushroom, plum, cherry, minerals, vanilla and chocolate. After 90 min perfume flavours come out. Some chalky tannins linger but soften after 45 minutes.

From selected parcels from Château Phélan Ségur, 60℅ Merlot and 40% Cab. Bonfire aromas along with violet, spice, cassis, brown sugar, tobacco, and VA.

After 60 Min the wine becomes juicy shedding the chalky tannins from the pop and pour. Plum, ripe blueberry, cedar, and saline, long finish. Jan 2024
