Deep ruby in colour. Medium+ intensity, youthful nose of black currant and blackberry. There is a note of mintiness. Structured acidity and wound up tannins, just like a young Cabernet. Palate was a bit closed with a straightforward black fruit profile. Long length. Ready to enjoy but will improve and open up. Feb 2011

An opaque ruby with nearly black core, even the fine sediment, another port ‘calling card’. Medium-bodied with a tannic grip. Expect black and blue berries, violet, black pepper and earth. Complex, much to offer, will be great in a couple years. Can’t wait? Then slowly savour it over the evening as it breathes. Sept 2012

Medium ruby colour and developing its aromas of ripe strawberry, red currant, cedar and nutmeg. The palate is Medium-full-bodied and has intensity with ample acidity. Raspberry jam, cherry chocolates, and a touch of spice on the finish. Quite lengthy. Very good quality and value.

Has an intense nose and a generous, weighty palate. Hot climate Aussie Shiraz characters with black currant, blackberry, and a touch of mint. Black cracked pepper gives a spice element. The palate is very round and just barely contains the minimum amount of acid and tannin to hold the structure without feeling flabby. The finish has a good length and at times can feel a bit hot. Can be enjoyed now but will improve once the intense fruit core becomes more integrated. (Jan 12, 2011)

A densely-extracted, deep ruby colour with a ruby rim. Intense nose of jammy blackberries fruit, black plum, medium-dark chocolate, and a licorice note. The palate is sweet with very little tannins. A well rounded mouthfeel with flavours of blackfruits, chocolate and sweet spice. The confectionary finish is pleasing of great length. March 2011.

A very extracted, deep ruby colour, and showing a hint of garnet. Has a developing nose of dried black and red fruits, dates, and sweet oak spices. Velvety tannins, black cherry, and a bit of cracked pepper. Has a meaty sensation on the medium-heavy body. The alcohol, although high, is integrated. Great length. Apr 2011
