Delicate fruit on the nose with citrus peel and hint of green apple. Has a steeliness on the palate along with the same lemon and crisp apple. The palate is not as typical of this grape and the finish lacks perceivable length. Nonetheless, the acidity makes for a good palate cleanser and is still an approachable wine. (Jan 5, 2010)

Youthful lemon, white grapefruit and green apple on the nose. The palate is firmly acidic with a light body. Intense lemon, minerality, and a riper apple. Medium-length finish with a citrus rind bitterness and bit of heat. (Feb 2011)

Medium-deep ruby in colour. The wine had an overlying nose between Roquefort gorgonzola, almost masking the fruit characteristics. Letting this calm down with a little more swirling, the wild berries, cocoa and herbal notes emerge. The fruitiness translates into the palate to make for a fuller-bodied mouthfeel. Medium-deep ruby colour. Nose of red cherry, plum and liquorice root. A dry wine, with medium-full body and firmer tannin. The alcohol was tagged as 14.6% but the heat wasn’t felt. A nice balance of tart cherry, blackberry, liquorice and sweet spice. Good balance and a medium length. Oct 2012

Interesting nose of cherry, fig, and black licorice. The riper nose doesn't translate to the palate, however, which is lighter in body, with tart cherry, cedar resin, and a quick length. Stimulates the appetite. Feb 2011

Ruby colour with a garnet rim. Red fruits, new leather, and a bit of cracked pepper on the nose. The palate has moderate acidity and weight, with minimal tannins. The flavour profile seemed shy with only red cherry and resinous cedar coming through. Simple finish of moderate length. (Feb 2011)

Deep ruby colour with a pink rim. Intense nose of black berry compote, oak, sweet spices, and a bit of black licorice. The palate is very fruit-forward with wound-up tannins and firm acidity. Medium+ length. Feb 2011.
