H. Thanisch Bernkasteler Badstube Riesling Spätlese 2010, Prädikatswein
Mosel, Germany$19.45
There is some great depth to this late-harvest. Medium-lemon with green flecks. Candied oranges and a hint of rosebud on the nose. The medium-sweet palate is in great balance with the acidity and minerality. Very lengthy with flavours of apricot and Mandarin orange. Nov 2012
Aliança Quinta Dos Quatro Ventos 2008
Douro, Portugal$24.95
Dense ruby. Plenty of flavour and is developing well. Black cherry and currant with earthy, smoky, spicy characters. Medium-full bodied with gripping tannin. Showing some refinement and would benefit from decanting to really enjoy.

Graham's 10 Year Old Tawny Port, Douro Valley
Douro, Portugal$31.40
Medium garnet colour with pink highlights. Wonderful nose of poached plum and dried fig, with some sweet spice, chocolate tones, and a whiff of walnut. The palate is rounded and balanced - a touch of heat. The finish pleasing, with more walnut coming through. Long-lived length. Mar 2011.
Bailly Lapierre Chardonnay Brut Crémant De Bourgogne, Traditional Method, Ac, Burgundy, France
Burgundy, France$28.95
Pleasing nose of green apple, white grapefruit, and underlying essence of bread dough. Balanced acidity and a delicate mousse. Flavours of stone fruits and a sense of minerality on the finish. Nice length. Mar 2011.
Hidalgo La Gitana Manzanilla, Do Manzanilla Sanlúcar De Barrameda, Spain (500ml)
Jerez, Spain$17.25
Pale lemon in colour, developing nose of dried orange peel, browning apple, pine nuts, olives and a hint of brine. Well balanced acidity and alcohol. The finish lingers with a pleasing almond, green olive and umami note. Mar 2011.
Château St. Georges 2008, Ac St Georges St émilion
Bordeaux, France$34.95
Densely-coloured ruby. Rich earth, moss and dark tobacco, after letting it breathe, pomegranate, dark berry and raisinated fruits emerge. The body is medium-full with tight tannins and the length is on the shorter side with a pleasing roast coffee finish. Will be drinking wonderfully in 2-5 years. November 2012
Reichsgraf Von Kesselstatt Riesling Kabinett 2007, Piesporter Goldtropfchen
Mosel, Germany$19.95
The wine has a nose of orange rind, green apple, and a wet slate note. The palate is medium-dry with balanced acidity, medium-bodied and plushly rounded. The flavour profile is rather straightforward with
red apple sweetness and the pleasant finish is very long-lived. (Feb 2011)
Rigal Les Terrasses Malbec 2009, Cahors
Southwest, France$16.29
*2010 Vintage*: The scents are very forthcoming with blueberries, pomegranate and black liquorice. The medium-bodied palate has balanced acidity, but it is a bit tannic. Great length and good value. Nov 2012
Domaine Sylvain Gaudron Vouvray Demi Sec 2006, Ac Vouvray
Loire, France$15.95
Acidity balances the hint of sweetness in this approachable Vouvray. Nose of grasses (hay), lemon rind, and subtle apricot. A palate of sweet gala apple, some minerality, and touch honeyed through its finish of good length.
Corte Majoli Amarone Della Valpolicella 2006, Doc
Veneto, Italy$33.95
Medium garnet colour. Developing dried and jammy black and blue fruit nose, with cedar. The palate is medium weight with stuctured acid and fine tannins. A bit hot. Cherries, plum and smoke. This is a lighter version of Amarone. Feb 2011.
