Michel Torino Don David Finca La Primavera #3 Torrontes 2011, Cafayate Valley, Salta
Salta, Argentina$14.25
Pale lemon colour with fragrant apple, green pear, staw, and kernel. Dry, with a light body from the uplifting, zesty acidity. Medium-short length. Refreshens the palate.

Leth Klassik Grüner Veltliner 2011, Wagram
Niederösterreich, Austria$10.75
Prominent with citrus rind, green pear and plenty of minerality. The palate is light-bodied with medium acidity and a finish that is on the shorter side with a slight bitterness, but pleasing, citrus pith. Good choice to start off the evening before dinner.

Sandhill Cabernet/Merlot 2010, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$19.95
Notes of dried black cherry, cinnamon stick, smoke and even animale character. The wine is quite tannic. The palate is ripe full-bodied and even seemed off-dry (although still is dry) as the wine is so ripe with fruit.
Amenable to decanting for an hour or best paired with rare beef.

Szekszardi Voros Kekfrankos 2008 (1000ml)
Hungary$12.19
Nose of red fruit (and a bit of VA sensed), palate was stemmy, body was thin and the tannins were very grippy. Feb 2011
Ruffino Aziano Chianti Classico 2007, Tuscany
Tuscany, Italy$17.95
This one didn't really want to come and show off it's bouquet yet. Hints of red fruit, touch of newer leather, and the oak is integrated. The acidity, finer tannin, and noticeable riper cherry fruit characteristics indicate that this wine is likely to improve short term. Decant, and perhaps it will awaken. (Jan 5, 2010)
Peninsula Ridge Inox Chardonnay 2008, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$14.95
This unoaked chardonnay has a medium lemon colour with a green tinge. The nose of ripe green apple and apricot has accents of citrus peel. The midweight palate is well integrated with a structured acidic backbone. The flavour profile is full of stonefruits and has a noticeable creaminess that is imparted by lees contact. The finish is pleasing, has zest, and is of good length. Enjoy now. (Jan 12, 2011)
Doga Delle Clavule Morellino Di Scansano 2008, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$16.95
A very youthful nose of red cherry. Palate has a juicy, heavy weight and is straightforward with stewed red fruits. Fine tannins and a bit of heat. Feb 2011.
Château D'argan 2008, Ac Médoc
Bordeaux, France$16.95
An upfront, developing nose of blackberry, black cherry, and cocoa. The palate weight is on a heavier side with good balance of fruit, dark chocolate, and tannins that are integrating. A decent length. Ready for enjoyment now, but could improve with a year or two of aging. (Jan 26, 2011)
Domaine Des Quatre Routes Muscadet Sèvre & Maine 2009, Ac
Loire, France$11.95
Has a very delicate nose of fresh flowers and citrus pith. A real palate cleanser with the dryness, acidity, and light spritz. Lighter-bodied with lime, white grapefruit and a pronounced minerality. Decent length. Apr 2011.
Tenuta Poggio Lupo Novilunio 2007, Doc Orvieto
Umbria, Italy$17.95
The wine has a medium-gold colour and is starting to show oxidation (VA). Overripened red apple and candied nose, with a touch of straw. The palate has a slightly firm acidic structure and medium body. The fruit on the nose comes through on the palate, with an added salted almond note. Drink now. Feb 2011
