Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Medium-high intensity nose features wet tilled earth along with some cherry and floral aromas. Full-bodied on the palate with big, refined tannins and very nice aroma replays, and some subtle oak spice flavours. Acids are juicy, while the finish length is excellent with some vanillan oak notes. Elegant wine to drink over the next half dozen years. Tasted Mar/2016.

Ca'viola Brichet Barbera D'alba 2012

Black plum and dark berry aromas from the cork. Aromas of wild flower, cinnamon, wet earth, sweet spice, sage, clove and red cherry waft from the glass with terrific complexity. The mouthfeel is soft on the medium-bodied palate with supple, fine-grained tannins. Delicious raspberry, floral and oak spice flavours. Well-balanced with racy acids and very good length on the finish. Enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Tasted June/2016.

Medium-high intensity nose offering sweet ripe red cherry and strawberry with some oak influence aromas. The palate is medium-full bodied with dusty tannins providing very good structure for ageing. Pleasing aroma replays, fresh acidity. Very good length on the warm finish. Tasted May/2016.

Medium-high aromatics and seems a bit closed, this has a lovely orange, citrus, mineral and Flintstones vitamins. The palate is fleshy with crisp, balanced acids, and fine chalky mineral limestone texture. Very nice off-dry (i.e. slightly sweet) aroma replays. Long finishing. This will age gracefully for many years. Tasted July/2016

This Syrah-Carmenere led blend has medium-to-high intensity aromas that show balanced red and black fruits, black cherry, and subtle vanilla oak notes. It's full-bodied on the palate with velvety tannins and very nicely balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile. It has very good acids and finishes long. Always delicious! Tasted Oct/2015. Screw cap. Medium-high intensity aromatics are clean and elegant with subtle nuances of lemon zest, herbs, yellow flowers, tropical fruit and a fine mineral note. There's very good fruit concentration on the medium-bodied palate, balanced by zesty acids and fine minerally texture. Ripe stone fruits and lemon flavours are followed by hints of melon, orange and ripe tropical fruits, all nicely balanced. Stony mineral notes linger on the very long finish. Tasted May/2017.

Subtle vanilla-honey aromatics from the noticeably short cork. Medium-high aromatics on the nose with smoky buttered popcorn, lemon, apple, vanilla and a touch reductive. Complex aroma replays on the smooth, medium-bodied palate, and slightly nutty and mineral notes, Juicy, well-balanced acids and a nice mineral texture. The finish is long and fine with hints of coffee flavours. Tasted Dec/2016.
