Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Emiliana Coyam 2012, Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$29.95
This Syrah-Carmenere led blend has medium-to-high intensity aromas that show balanced red and black fruits, black cherry, and subtle vanilla oak notes. It's full-bodied on the palate with velvety tannins and very nicely balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile. It has very good acids and finishes long. Always delicious! Tasted Oct/2015. Score: 90+ pts
Greywacke Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$24.95
Screw cap. Medium-high intensity aromatics are clean and elegant with subtle nuances of lemon zest, herbs, yellow flowers, tropical fruit and a fine mineral note. There's very good fruit concentration on the medium-bodied palate, balanced by zesty acids and fine minerally texture. Ripe stone fruits and lemon flavours are followed by hints of melon, orange and ripe tropical fruits, all nicely balanced. Stony mineral notes linger on the very long finish. Tasted May/2017.
Closson Chase Vineyard Chardonnay 2014, VQA Prince Edward County
Ontario, Canada$29.95
Subtle vanilla-honey aromatics from the noticeably short cork. Medium-high aromatics on the nose with smoky buttered popcorn, lemon, apple, vanilla and a touch reductive. Complex aroma replays on the smooth, medium-bodied palate, and slightly nutty and mineral notes, Juicy, well-balanced acids and a nice mineral texture. The finish is long and fine with hints of coffee flavours. Tasted Dec/2016.

Ca' Del Bosco Cuvée Prestige Extra Brut Franciacorta, Docg, Lombardy, Italy, 46th Edition, Traditional Method

The 46th edition is a blend of 79.5% Chardonnay, 19% Pinot Nero, and 1.5% Pinot Bianco has fresh leesy and doughy aromas layered over notions of autolytic, savoury, orchard fruit, and ripe apple aromas. It has a very good mouthfeel on the dry, medium-full bodied palate with lovely apple, pear, orchard fruit, and citrusy flavours that come to the fore on the mid-palate. It has very good, vibrant acidity and elegant mousse. Crisp, minerally, and savoury on the long, persistent finish. Tasted Oct. 2024. Score: 91+ pts
Southbrook Canadian Framboise (375ml)
Ontario, Canada$19.95
Made using 100% Royalty Raspberries. Screw cap. Medium+ aromas that shows raspberry and cherry cough drop notes. Pleasing aroma replays on the palate that is medium-bodied. Warmth arrives mid-palate and continues through to the smooth, medium-length finish. It's sweet, but balanced acids keep everything in check. Serve well-chilled. Tasted June/2014.
