Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Highly aromatic with savoury, earthy, cherry, strawberry and raspberry aromas. It's full-bodied with big tannins that are yet smooth and velvety. Very nice aroma replays, plus some sandalwood flavours on the palate. Has mouth-watering acids and excellent balance. Very long finishing. Approachable now, but built to last for at 15 years. Screw cap. Very fragrant grassy nose with hints of kiwi, gooseberry, grapefruit and some citrus zest. The light-to-mid-weighted palate is clean and crisp with vibrant acidity. Grapefruit, minerals, gooseberry, kiwi and citrus flavour profile. Extremely well-balanced from start to end. Excellent length with mineral and lemon notes on the finish. This is superb and highly recommended. Buy this on February 20th and save it for patio weather. Tasted Feb/2016.

Blend of 90% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Blackberry, dark fruits and a whiff of dried fruit aromas from the cork. Dark garnet coloured with a tinge of brown forming along the rim. Savoury medium intensity nose with earthy, cherry, dried herbs and hints of tobacco in the glass. The palate medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, spiced tobacco, black cherry, sage, and leathery notes, Has very good acidity, Finishes long and a touch warm with dark currant, earthy and mineral after taste. Enjoy over the next 5-6 years. Tasted Oct/2015.

Blend of 50% Grenache, 40% Syrah and 10% Mourvèdre. Sweet dark fruits and hint of prune aromas from the cork. Medium+ aromatics from the glass with seductive violet, acacia flower, dark fruit, eucalypt, dusty earth notions with blackberry, plum, and black pepper notes forming as it warms up. On the palate, it is medium bodied with refined, dusty tannins and nicely balanced aroma replays. Sweet tannins provide good structure while acids are juicy. Very good length on the dry finish. Enjoy over the next 5-6 years. Tasted Oct/2015.

A true second wine of Ornellaia that has medium-to-high intensity aromas of sweet ripe cherry, strawberry, raspberry, violets and vanilla. It's medium-to-full bodied with refined tannins and mouthwatering acids. Cassis, milk chocolate, and cocoa flavours follow the aroma profile on the palate. Very smooth, finishing long. Classy! White flowers and lime aromas from the cork. Lovely nose of ripe Mirabelle plum, fresh white flowers and citrus notes. Aromas echo on the finely balanced palate, with notes of lime and gooseberry coming through as it warms up. The vibrant, fine seam of acidity is available from start to finish. Long finish ends slightly creamy with some saline notes. Excellent stuff. Tasted Nov/2015.

It has firm, crunchy tannins on the full-bodied palate with nice aroma replays led by oak spice notes. It has very good acidity and a long, earthy finish. Tasted Oct/2014.

Medium-high intensity nose features wet tilled earth along with some cherry and floral aromas. Full-bodied on the palate with big, refined tannins and very nice aroma replays, and some subtle oak spice flavours. Acids are juicy, while the finish length is excellent with some vanillan oak notes. Elegant wine to drink over the next half dozen years. Tasted Mar/2016.

Black plum and dark berry aromas from the cork. Aromas of wild flower, cinnamon, wet earth, sweet spice, sage, clove and red cherry waft from the glass with terrific complexity. The mouthfeel is soft on the medium-bodied palate with supple, fine-grained tannins. Delicious raspberry, floral and oak spice flavours. Well-balanced with racy acids and very good length on the finish. Enjoy over the next 3-4 years. Tasted June/2016.
