Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.

Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.

Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Lovely lifted nose of bright red cherry, strawberry, and raspberry with terrific intensity, along with subtle hints of oak spice. It's light-to-medium bodied with silky smooth tannins and very nice aroma replays plus some earthy and beetroot notes. Acids are nicely balanced, while the finish is long with currant nuances. Yum! Fairly intense nose is very autolytic in nature, plus some brioche, lemon citrus, and honeyed aromas add to the complexity. Still crisp and lively on the nicely dry palate with fine acidity and persistent mousse. Lovely, creamy texture and very fresh, ending with some waxy and nutty notes on the very long finish. Blend of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Tasted June/2019.

Clean, open, and fragrant, the medium-high intensity aromas offer attractive nutty and caramel notes layered over orange, apricot, brown sugar, and honey. The medium+ bodied palate is very dry with oxidative and nutty flavours, plus touches of lemon peel, salty, leesy, and caramel adding complexity. Acids are fresh and well-balanced, while oxidative, leesy, nutty, and salty notes linger on the exceptionally long, dry, and slightly bitter finish. Best served with a light chill. Tasted Jan. 2024.
