Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Veneto, Italy$33.95
This blend of 70% Garganega and 30% Trebbiano di Soave has an elegant, refined, and medium-high intensity nose of anise, lemon citrus, yellow flower, and herbal aromas. On the ripe, dry, medium-to-medium-full bodied palate it has very good concentration with touches of spice and tropical fruit notes joining the citrusy, floral, herbs, and anise replays on the flavour profile. It tapers to mineral notes on the mid-palate. Nicely textured throughout with very good, balanced, and fresh acidity. Stony and leesy mineral notes linger on the finish, with excellent length. Tasted Oct. 2023.

Particular clones of organic Sangiovese. Fresh aromas lead with funky reductive characters followed by savoury, wet earth, and clove aromas. On the dry, medium-full to full-bodied palate it has creamy, structured tannins with oak spice, red cherry, floral, and sweet spice flavours supported by very good acidity. Long, structured, and crisp finish. Will be better in a couple of years and drink well into the late 2030s. Tasted Nov. 2023.

Blend of 80% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo, and 5% Syrah. Elegant, dark red fruited, cherry, sweet spice, peppery spice, and hints of dark berry aromas rise out of the glass with great intensity. On the medium-full to full-bodied palate it is impressively concentrated with very nice, balanced aroma replays on the flavour profile and supported by very good, crisp acidity. On the impressively concentrated palate it has a very good textured mouthfeel and an off-dry flavour profile of lime citrus, ripe apple, leesy mineral, white flowers, and subtle spicy tones. Impeccably balanced with fresh and juicy acids, while leesy mineral and lime notes taper to a dry, textured finish, with excellent length. Wow! Tasted Feb/2022.
