Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Hidden Bench Estate Chardonnay 2017, VQA Beamsville Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$29.95
Lovely, highly aromatic nose delivers buttery, vanilla, ripe golden apple, and pineapple aromas. It's medium-full bodied and a touch ripe on the palate with juicy acids and very good fruit concentration and more vanilla, buttery, apple, and pear flavours. There's some leesy and mineral qualities on the mid-palate. Toasty and spicy notes linger on the long finish, with excellent length. Tasted Feb/2020.
Henry Of Pelham Cuvée Catharine Carte Blanche Estate Blanc De Blanc 2014, Traditional Method, VQA Short Hills Bench, Niagara Escarpment, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$49.95
Made with Chardonnay, this has a highly aromatic, elegant, and complex nose of lemon, nut, brioche, citrus, autolytic, and pastry notes. It is full-bodied with nutty, honeyed, and grapefruit citrus characters on the flavour profile. It has fine mousse and very good, balanced acidity, and a very long aftertaste. A fine vintage bubbly. Tasted Nov/2019.
Piazzano Colorino 2015, Igt Toscana
Tuscany, Italy$26.75
Deeply purple-hued 100% Colorino normally used for blending. It has medium+ intensity aromas of purple fruit, dark cherry-berry, and herbs with a licorice and medicinal character wafts from glass. It is medium bodied with firm, grippy, chalky and drying tannins, along with fresh and juicy acids that provide lift. Flavours of violet, black cherry, dark plum, and hints of oak. A bit thin on the mid-palate, while the finish is long with wet earth, dark berry, and violet nuances. Should develop more complexity with time as tannins integrate. Tasted Feb/2019.

An austere, dry rosé with grapefruit, herbs, garrigue aromas of medium intensity. It's medium-full bodied on the structured palate with lovely aroma replays supported by juicy, balanced acidity. Long, dry finish. Tasted Aug/2019.
