Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Hamilton Russell Chardonnay 2013, Wo Hemel En Aarde Valley
Western Cape, South Africa$47.95
Medium+ intensity nose featuring lush buttery apple, toasty integrated oak, vanilla and some earthy notes add complexity. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and smooth with very nice aroma replays, integrated vanilla oak, and some mineral flavours. Crisp, balanced acids add freshness. Excellent length on the long, smooth and balanced finish. A pleasure to sip. Tasted July/2015.
Tawse Quarry Road Chardonnay 2010, VQA Vinemount Ridge, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$34.95
Apple and butter aromas with lots of minerality shining through. On the palate there is more minerality with citrus notes and lively acidity at mid-palate. Oak is very well integrated. Tasted Sept/2012.
Luce 2016, Igt Toscana
Tuscany, Italy$129.95
A blend of Sangiovese and Merlot, this Super Tuscan has a lovely, fairly intense and complex nose of oak spice, red cherry, currant, cassis, clove, and spices. It is full-bodied with more currant, cassis, spice, and oak flavours supported by mouthwatering acids. Firm tannins are structured and grippy. Excellent length on the long, slightly warming, yet balanced finish. Best after 2025. Tasted Oct/2019.
Il Molino Di Grace Riserva Chianti Classico 2009, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$24.95
Maturing very nicely, this has a medium+ intensity nose offering savoury, wet earth and meaty notes along with some dried herbs and floral. More mature, savoury aromas replays on the medium-full bodied palate. Smooth tannins and still has very good acidity. Long earthy finish. Traditional, old world Chianti Classico. 100% Sangiovese. Tasted May/2016.
Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay 2016, Napa Valley/Carneros
California, Usa$84.95
Ripe, fairly intense nose of apple, pear, orchard fruit, butterscotch, oak, and vanilla. It is medium-full bodied and structured with ripe aroma replays plus some spicy notes, all supported by vibrant acids. Long, juicy finish. Drink over the next 7-8 years. Tasted Oct/2019.
Viticcio Beatrice Gran Selezione Chianti Classico 2013, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$42.75
Tasted June/2018. Score: 90+ pts
Domaine Chante Perdrix Châteauneuf Du Pape 2016, Ac
Rhône, France$45.95
A harmonious blend of 60% Grenache, 20% Syrah, 15% Mourvèdre, and 5% Muscardin. Intense, ripe, concentrated dark berry, cherry, raspberry, and smoky mineral aromas. Full-bodied on the palate with very nice aroma replays - raspberry, cherry, sweet spice, and smoky notes more prominent. Creamy textured with refined tannins and well-balanced acids. Excellent finish length goes on and on. Tasted June/2019.
Laroche Les Beauroys Chablis 1er Cru 2017, Ac

Highly aromatic nose is fragrant with citrus and stony minerality and some spice notes. The palate is clean with fine aroma replays and some nutty nuances. It's nicely textured with balanced acids. Long, elegant finish. Tasted June/2019. Score: 91+ pts
