Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Faustino I Gran Reserva 1994
Rioja, Spain$72.00
Intense nose offers exotic sweet spices, incense, and savoury/earthy aromas. It's medium-full bodied on the palate with soft tannins and flavours of dried floral, black cherry and sweet spice. Acids are still very good and the finish length is excellent. Tasted Sept/2016.
Domaine Drouhin Pinot Noir 2011, Dundee Hills, Willamette Valley
Oregon, Usa$49.95
Fresh strawberry and red fruit aromas. Light-to-medium bodied with more strawberry and red fruits, along with earth, beetroot and minerals. Very fruit forward with mouth watering acids. Chalky and dusty tannins that could use time. Medium-length finish. Hold at least 3-4 years. Tasted Apr/2013.
Bollig Lehnert Piesporter Goldtröpfchen Riesling Spätlese 2011
Mosel, Germany$17.75
Highly aromatic nose, elegant with petrol, citrus orange and hints of white peach, apricot, pink grapefruit and honey all make an appearance. It's medium-bodied with very nice, sweet aroma replays. Crisp, balanced acids and excellent length on the finish. Will continue to age gracefully over the next 8-10 years, but why wait? Tasted July/2015.
Hamilton Russell Chardonnay 2013, Wo Hemel En Aarde Valley
Western Cape, South Africa$47.95
Medium+ intensity nose featuring lush buttery apple, toasty integrated oak, vanilla and some earthy notes add complexity. On the palate, it's medium-bodied and smooth with very nice aroma replays, integrated vanilla oak, and some mineral flavours. Crisp, balanced acids add freshness. Excellent length on the long, smooth and balanced finish. A pleasure to sip. Tasted July/2015.
Shafer Red Shoulder Ranch Chardonnay 2011, Carneros, Napa Valley
California, Usa$76.95
Medium-high intensity aromas featuring elegant and balanced oak, orchard fruit, citrus and butterscotch notes. Medium-bodied palate with nice aroma replays. Finish is long and smooth. Lovely! Tasted Oct/2013.
Errazuriz Kai 2010
Chile$144.95
Mostly Carménère with 4% Petit Verdot. Medium-high intense aromas of roasted pepper and black pepper. Full-bodied with more roasted pepper notes on the palate, with some nuances of milk chocolate and black currant. Dusty tannins are integrating nicely. Finish is long and smooth. Delicious. Tasted Sept/2013.
