Signorello Padrone Proprietary Red 2008, Napa Valley

Blend a bit different than the '07 with 89% Cab Sauv and 11% Merlot. Woodsmoke and plum aromas. Full-bodied with dark fruits and leather on the palate. Tannins are very chalky and need 2-3 years to settle down. Tasted Dec/2012.

Hardys Eileen Hardy Shiraz 2003, Mclaren Vale, South Australia

2005 vintage. Big, Australian fruit bomb with an explosion of red and black fruit aromas and flavours. Some mintyness arrives towards the finish. Still evident tannins will reward another 2-3 years ageing, or decant prior to serving today. Tasted May/2012.

Errázuriz Don Maximiano Founder’s Reserve 2008

Blend of 84% Cab Sauv, 8% Carmenère, 5% Syrah and 3% Petit Verdot. Intense blackcurrant and cassis aromas from the glass. Full-bodied with firm tannins that are still a bit tight. Cedar and dark fruits on the palate. Cellar 3+ years and has potential to reward up to 10 years later. Tasted Sept/2013.

Masi Costasera Amarone Classico Riserva 2009, Valpolicella

Blend of 70% Corvina, 15% Rondinella, 10% Oseleta, and 5% Molinara. Medium-to-high intensity aromatics with rich notions of dried fruit, floral, tomato leaf, and fig. It's plush, dense and mouthwatering on the full bodied palate with terrific sweet and savoury aroma replays. Very good structure, bright acids, and excellent length on the finish. Enjoy over the next 15 years. Tasted Nov/2015.

Château Des Charmes Equuleus Paul Bosc Estate Vineyards 2010, Niagara Peninsula

Blend of 50% Cab Sauv, 25% Cab Franc and 25% Merlot brings aromas of cassis, smoke and oak. On the palate, there is more cassis, plus vanilla, oak, and chocolate. Very smooth with well-integrated tannins. Lovely! Tasted June/2012.

Aromas of medium+ intensity featuring clean orange, peach and citrus. Balanced acids on the medium-sweet (MS) palate with orange and tropical fruit flavours. Long, clean finish. Tasted May/2015

Castello Della Sala Cervaro 2013, Umbria

This Chardonnay has 10% Grechetto added to it. Highly aromatic with notes of pear, apple, stone fruits and some butter, vanilla and flint adding complexity. Medium+ bodied with smooth, mouth-watering acids that are balanced, pleasing aroma replays and lengthy finish. Tasted Oct/2015.

Norman Hardie County Chardonnay Unfiltered 2011, VQA Prince Edward County

Intense mineral and fruit aromas with smoky undertones. Creamy mouthfeel with oak, butter, apple, mineral and hints of spice on the palate. Very well balanced. Long finish with spicy nuances. Very nice! Tasted April/2013.

Rosewood Estates Natural Fermentation Reserve Pinot Noir 2009, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula

Made in an old-world style with intense aromas of smoke, red fruits, earth and cedar. Light-to-medium bodied and bright acidity with ripe red fruits, sour red cherries and beet root on the palate. Has grippy tannins and a short finish. My kind of Pinot! Tasted Oct/2012.

Hartford Court Chardonnay 2012, Russian River Valley, Sonoma County

Aromas of medium+ intensity with notes of sweet vanillan, poached pear and butterscotch. Creamy mouthfeel on the medium-bodied palate with orchard fruit, mineral, and elegant oak flavours. Balanced acids and medium-length finish. Tasted Oct/2014.
