A Chardonnay on the reductive side with pear, apple, subtle smoke and oak spice aromas. It's medium-full bodied on the palate with spicy pear, toasty oak spice, and nutty flavours that are well-integrated. More spicy tones on the mid-palate with very good acidity. Long on the finish with spice and pear notes. Tasted Feb/2020.

Medium intensity nose delivers black pepper, spice, dark berry, blackberry aromas along with hints of earth and plum. It's full-bodied with refined, structured tannins and juicy acids. with more dark berry, dark plum, pepper spice, and brambly flavours. Very nicely balanced throughout and finishes with good length. 100% Gagliappo with very little oak has a bouquet of bright red berry, peppery spice, rose floral, and red plum aromas with savoury touches. More red berry, spice, and plum flavours that become a bit darker on the ripe, medium-bodied palate with light, gritty tannins and fresh, juicy acidity. Wanted a bit more length on the juicy, structured finish that adds intrigue with toffee and sweet spice notes. Tasted Feb/2020.
