Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Lakeview Cellars Viognier 2016, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Screw cap. This has a tart and floral nose with orange blossom, lime citrus, and a whiff of anise and herbally aromas. On the mid-weighted palate, it has vibrant, crunchy acids supporting the citrus, floral, and herbal flavours. There's a touch of candied lime giving off an impression of sweetness. Good length on the finish. Tasted Sept/2018.
Keint He Voyageur Riesling 2015, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$16.75
Tasted Apr/2017.
Cavino Nemea Grande Reserve 2010, Pdo Nemea
Peloponnese, Greece$18.95
The nose is highly aromatic with pretty rose floral, red cherry, sweet oak spices, and clove notes, all of which come through in a pleasing fashion on the medium+ bodied palate, with smooth refined tannins and very good acidity. A touch hot mid-palate. Excellent finish length. Tasted May/2017.
Muskoka Lakes White Cranberry Wine 2017
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Elegant aromas of candied cranberries. Fruit forward, tannic and lots of acidity on the spicy finish. Quite different. Tasted Aug/2012.
Lakeview Kerner 2017, VQA, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$15.75
Screw cap. The generous nose has white floral, ripe apple and peach aromas, with some honeyed and grapey notes. It's off-dry on the palate with more apple, floral, and peach flavours lifted by bright acidity. There's some bitterness on the honeyed-floral finish, with good length. A casual sipper to enjoy on a hot summer's day. Serve well-chilled. Tasted Aug/2018.
Jackson Triggs Entourage Grand Reserve Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Traditional Method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$24.25
A sparkling wine that is tart and sour with pink grapefruit notes, followed by some brioche, leesy and green stemmy aromas and flavours. It comes off as mostly dry on the palate with frothy mousse and a toasty brioche edge. Nicely balanced with a medium-long finish. Tasted Sept/2017.
Apaltagua Envero Gran Reserva Carmenère 2015, Apalta, Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$18.95
The medium+ intensity nose is herbaceous with dark fruit, and grilled herbs and red pepper aromas. It's medium+ bodied on the concentrated palate with pleasant herbaceous aroma replays and subtle oak spice supported by juicy acids and supple tannins. Very good length on the balanced finish. Tasted Dec/2019. Score: 88+ pts
