Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Pungently herbaceous and grassy, the highly aromatic nose has a core of tropical fruit, guava, kiwi notes. Medium-bodied with clean, crisp, and balanced acidity with more flavours of ripe tropical fruit and touches of saline minerality on the palate. Very good length on the juicy finish with hints of citrus and grapefruit. Tasted July/2019.

Blend of indigenous varietals Tinta Roriz, Trincadeira, and Tinta Barroca from a high-altitude, this has a fresh, medium+ nose of cherry, earthy, mineral and dark berry notes. The medium-bodied palate is fresh and spicy with nice aroma replays and hints of purple fruit. Fresh and vibrant on the finish, with very good length. Tasted July/2019.

Les Vignerons Du Castelas Côtes Du Rhône 2017, Ac
Rhône, France$15.95
This blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 30% Roussanne, and 20% Clairette has a medium intensity and evolving nose of floral, beeswax, peach, citrus, and grapefruit tones infused with tarragon herbs. It is medium+ bodied with 6 to 8 months of lees ageing adding weight and texture to the dry palate. Clean, lively acids are well-balanced. More floral, beeswax, tarragon and lemon citrus notes on the flavour profile that follow through to the finish with hints of mineral and very good length. Tasted Aug/2019.
Dalva Branco 2017, Doc Douro
Douro, Portugal$12.95
Medium intensity nose is minerally with citrus aromas, while the medium bodied palate is spicy, joining the mineral and citrus notes. Nicely balanced with good acidity, while the finish length is very good. Tasted Aug/2019.
Terrazas De Los Andes Reserva Malbec 2017, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$19.95
Medium-high intensity nose is a touch reductive, followed by mineral, black spices, earthy, and white pepper characters, all of which come through very nicely on the medium+ bodied palate, joined by some blackberry flavours. Silky, smooth tannins have some grip. It's nicely balanced with very good acidity, and very good length on the finish. Tasted Nov/2019.
