Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Jackson Triggs Entourage Grand Reserve Sparkling Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Traditional Method, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$24.25
A sparkling wine that is tart and sour with pink grapefruit notes, followed by some brioche, leesy and green stemmy aromas and flavours. It comes off as mostly dry on the palate with frothy mousse and a toasty brioche edge. Nicely balanced with a medium-long finish. Tasted Sept/2017.
Apaltagua Envero Gran Reserva Carmenère 2015, Apalta, Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$18.95
The medium+ intensity nose is herbaceous with dark fruit, and grilled herbs and red pepper aromas. It's medium+ bodied on the concentrated palate with pleasant herbaceous aroma replays and subtle oak spice supported by juicy acids and supple tannins. Very good length on the balanced finish. Tasted Dec/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Kir Yianni Akakies Rosé 2017, Ac Amyndeon
Macedonia, Greece$13.95
A dry rosé made with 100% Xinomavro. Strawberry, cherry aromas and flavours, along with herbal hints on a crunchy, medium-bodied palate. Balanced acids and good length on the finish. Tasted Apr/2018.
Rocca Delle Macìe Chianti Riserva 2016
Tuscany, Italy$15.95
Medium+ intensity nose is savoury with currant, plum, red cherry, and earth aromas. It's ripe fruited on the palate with currant, sour cherry, oak spice, and leathery flavours on the medium-bodied palate. Light tannins have just enough texture to keep things interesting, while lemony acids are food-friendly. Savoury, currant, and chocolate notes linger on the finish, with very good length. A fine, simple Chianti for mid-week drinking. Tasted May/2020.
Umberto Cesari Liano Sangiovese/Cabernet Sauvignon 2015, Igt Rubicone
Emilia Romagna, Italy$27.95
Tasted Nov/2018.
