Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Siegel Single Vineyard Los Lingues Carmenère 2012, Colchagua Valley
Colchagua Valley, Chile$15.75
Medium-to-high aromatics of floral, herbs and mineral. Full-bodied and balanced on the palate with red & black fruits, black cherry. Acids are very good, and excellent length on the finish. Yummy! Tasted Oct/2015.
Château Guillou 2012, Ac Montagne Saint émilion
Bordeaux, France$18.95
Blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. Dried spice, oak and whiff of plum from the cork. Medium intensity herbally, spice, black currant, dark cherry, and some earthy characters on the nose. The palate is light-to-medium bodied with gritty, astringent tannins. Raspberry and dusty cocoa flavours join the aroma profile on the palate. Acids are fresh and juicy, while the finish length is good. Has a mineral/steely aftertaste. Perfectly fine for a Thursday night. Tasted Nov/2015.
Rocca Di Castagnoli Chianti Classico 2013, Docg
Tuscany, Italy$14.75
Medium+ intensity nose of tart red cherry, earth and hints of mint. It's medium-bodied with dusty tannins on the palate with simple sour red cherry flavours. Acids are very good. Medium-long finish. Tasted Sept/2015.

Mendoza, Argentina$14.75
Medium-to-high aromatics featuring cassis, crème de cassis, blackberry with an earthy core. It's medium+ bodied with very nice aroma replays, very good acids and a medium-to-long finish. Tasted July/2015
Tiago Cabaço Premium White 2014, Vinho Regional Alentejano
Alentejo, Portugal$12.75
Unique blend of Antão Vaz, Verdelho, and Viognier. Citrus and spring flower aromas from the cork. Elegant nose of floral, citrus zest, tropical fruits and some minerality. On the light-to-midweighted palate, it has a fleshy character with flavours that mimic the aroma profile along with some pear notes. Vibrant, juicy acids make this very much a wine for pairing with food. Very good length on the finish. Don't overchill. Tasted Jan/2016.
La Crema Chardonnay 2014, Monterey County
California, Usa$26.95
Lemon and ripe fruited aromas from the cork. Aromas of medium intensity showing butter, poached apple, butterscotch and orchard fruits. Full bodied on the palate with butterscotch and baked apple flavours, along with hints of caramel. There's hints of sweetness on the palate and notable oak influence, but it's not overdone. It has delicate acids and good length on the slightly warming finish. Tasted May/2015.
Herdade Da Pimenta 2013, Vinho Regional Alentejano
Alentejo, Portugal$19.95
Medium-full bodied, dense, and concentrated with woody, chocolate, dark berry, and blackberry aromas and flavours. Acids are balanced and the finish length is very good. Tasted Mar/2019.

Greece$26.95
This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70%), Merlot (20%) and Agiorgitiko (10%) has a medium-to-high intensity and elegant nose of cassis, red currants, black fruits and white pepper. The aromas make a pleasing appearance on the full-bodied palate, with juicy acids, refined tannins and a long finish. Good fruit-oak balance. Tasted May/2016.
Monopole Rioja 2015
Spain$15.95
100% Viura. Ripe nose of tropical fruits, mango and pineapple with pleasing aroma replays on the palate along with some wildflower flavours. Touch of sweetness on the palate. Acids are fresh, while the lengthy finish has a mineral-bitter component. Should have wide-appeal. Tasted Sept/2016.
Mcmichael Collection Chardonnay 2014

Screw cap. This unoaked Chardonnay was fermented and aged for 8 months in stainless steel tanks. Fresh pear, citrus aromas with hints of mineral and peach. The fleshy palate is medium+ bodied and a shade off-dry with citrusy, melon, green apple, white pepper and hints of stony mineral flavours. Acids are juicy, nice and fresh. Fine length on the finish. Serve nicely chilled and enjoy this summer. Tasted Aug/2016.
