Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Pierre Sparr Brut Réserve Crémant D'alsace, Traditional Method, Ac, Alsace, France
Alsace, France$20.95
A blend of 80% Pinot Blanc and 20% Pinot Auxerrois that spent 12-16 months on the lees. The medium+ intensity nose has bready, yeasty, and autolytic aromas mingling with lemon citrus and floral. It's light-to-medium bodied on the palate with bready, yeasty, lemon citrus, and pear characters supported by fine mousse and balanced acidity. Essential dry overall with hints of mineral, honey, and nut carrying through to the fresh finish, with very good length. Recommended buy. Tasted July/2020. Score: 88+ pts

Plum and prune aromas from the cork. Medium intensity nose with red cherry, red currant and soft floral aromas. The Foreign Affair The Conspiracy 2013, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$21.95
A Ripasso-style of wine where the wine is re-passed and fermented on the skins of their appassimento wines. Pressed and aged in French, Hungarian, and American oak barrels. Blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot. Highly aromatic with notions of sweet plums, sage, spice and black cherries. On the palate, it's medium+ bodied and fleshy with pleasing aroma replays. Vegetal notes rise to prominence with air. It has just a hint of sweetness and subtle spice notes on the mid-palate. Balanced acids and medium-length finish. Tasted May/2015.

Very nice, elegant petrol, peach and orange aromas and flavours. The palate is light-to-medium bodied with notions of Flintstones vitamins and some bitter tones joining the off-dry flavour profile. It has good acids and a long, bitter finish. Tasted Apr/2016.
