Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

The medium-high intensity nose offers perfumed evergreen and herbaceous aromas followed by oak spice, Asian spices, dark berry, olive and woody notes. It's medium-full bodied and ripe on the palate with dark currant, dark berry and oak flavours supported by medium-firm tannins and very good acidity. The finish is earthy, long and clean. Tasted Nov/2017.
La Fortessa Taburno Falanghina Del Sannio 2016, Doc

Pretty, perfumed aromas offering floral, ripe peach, fennel, and beeswax notes. It's medium-full bodied and nicely textured with lively acids. Dry with honeyed notes of ripe peach, ripe apple, and floral flavours. Salty notes come to the fore as it warms in the glass. Minerally on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Mar/2019.

Cecchi Storia Di Famiglia Chianti Classico 2015, Docg

Blend of 90% Sangiovese and 10% other varietals. Medium intensity nose offers subtle dark and red cherries, oak spice, currant and sour cherry aromas. It's medium-bodied with dusty, refined, and smooth tannins with juicy acids. More savoury and bitter on the palate. Very good finish length. Tasted Nov/2018.
The Tragically Hip Fully Completely Grand Reserve Red 2016, VQA Ontario
Ontario, Canada$24.95

Wakefield Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Clare Valley, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$19.95
Screw cap. This has evergreen aromas wrapped around cassis, red and black fruits, dark currants and sweet oak, with medium+ intensity. On the medium-full bodied palate, this has medium-firm, gritty tannins with nice aroma replays, and just a touch of sweetness hidden by the bright acids. The finish length is very good. Age 2+ years for better tannin integration. Tasted June/2018.
Lakeview Cellars Viognier 2016, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Screw cap. This has a tart and floral nose with orange blossom, lime citrus, and a whiff of anise and herbally aromas. On the mid-weighted palate, it has vibrant, crunchy acids supporting the citrus, floral, and herbal flavours. There's a touch of candied lime giving off an impression of sweetness. Good length on the finish. Tasted Sept/2018.
