Chardonnay
California, Usa

A stylish, abundantly flavourful chardonnay from Chateau St. Jean with terrific elegance and vibrancy. Medium-bodied with fresh acidity and very subtle, keenly integrated oak. Flavours of apple, apricot, lemon, persimmon and honey along with delicate exotic spice and creme caramel provide a delectably complex palate. Very good length. Score 89 (Sara d'Amato, WineAlign.com Jan 2013) This wine is featured in Episode #3.2 of our "So, You Think You Know Wine?" video series.Critic Reviews (4)

The 2010 Chateau St. Jean Chardonnay is a medium bodied, fruity wine with intense aromas of green apple, slight vanilla and oak. It has nice structure and a long, supple vanilla finish. This food friendly wine will reward for the next 3-5 years. My impression: NICE to BEAUTIFUL, 89 pts. Tasted Sept/12.

Toasty oak with lots apple and butter aromas with replays on palate. Some melon flavours also shine through the vanilla on the long finish. Very new world style of Chardonnay. Could be aged at least another 3 years. Tasted Sept/2012.

Toasty oak and apple on the nose with hints of vanilla. Supple, round mouthfeel- slight butterscotch finish.
