Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Hewitson Miss Harry 2006, Barossa Valley, South Australia
Australia$19.95
Nose is a bit closed - some spice box, earth, oak. Blueberry, earth, cherry, cocoa on palate. Elegant, long finish. Tasted Oct/2010.
Carmen Nativa Single Vineyard Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2006, Maipo Valley, Organically Grown Grapes
Chile$19.75
Gorgeous herbs (eucalyptus), pepper/spice, earth aromas. Raspberry, blackberry, herbal, cocoa/coffee flavours. Prevalent tannins would reward some years in cellar. Oak lays in (far) background. Dry. Medium-full bodied. Very nicely made for an organic wine. Recommended. Tasted May/2011.
Small Gully The Formula Robert's Shiraz 2005, South Australia
Australia$19.95
Blueberry, bacon, earthy, oaky, mint aromas. Big licorice, mint flavours. Intense. Tasted Dec/2010.
Montes Alpha Carmenère 2007, Colchagua Valley
Chile$19.95
Stewed blackberry and black currant aromas from the cork. Medium+ aromas of black currant, black cherry, and earth with hints of stewed black fruits and barnyard. Medium+ bodied with refined tannins that are silky smooth, yet drying. Nice black currant/blackberry sweet ripe fruits, oak spice, and earthy flavours. Good acids, rush of spice and hints of purple fruits on the slightly warm, and lengthy finish. Could be aged another 2 years, but drinking great now. Tasted Apr/2014.
Featherstone Cabernet Franc 2008, VQA Twenty Mile Bench, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Screw cap. Plum, boysenberry, cedar aromas. More boysenberry on the palate, plus brambleberry and ripe red fruits. Hints of smokiness on the long finish. Smooth, well-integrated tannins. Medium-bodied. Fresh acidity. Ready to drink now. Tasted July/2012.
