Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

La Cadierenne Cuvée Grande Tradition Bandol Rosé 2014, Ac
Provence, France$22.95
Blend of 40% Mouvèdre, 30% Grenache, and 30% Cinsault. Fresh peaches, nectarines and spring flower aromas from the cork. Elegant white peach, citrus and floral nose, with some herbally notes adding complexity. The palate is dry and quite full-ish with flavours of blood orange, grapefruit and strawberry. Has nice, crisp acidity and good length on the finish. Pairs well with salmon. Tasted June/2015.

100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Perfumed floral, citrus, tart strawberry and sweet pepper aromas. Medium-bodied palate with strawberry, rhubarb and subtle spice notes. A touch off-dry (i.e. slightly sweet). Very good, balanced acids. Medium+ length finish. Tasted June/2015.

Inniskillin Montague Vineyard Chardonnay 2013, VQA Four Mile Creek, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$25.95
9 months in new French oak, this white wine is somewhat shy but exhibited vanilla, ripe pear, apple, butter and some toasted oak aromas. It's creamy on the full-bodied with elegant, pleasing aroma replays along with hints of butterscotch. Balanced acids and good length on the finish, I expect this to improve with air. Tasted Jan/2016.
Rosewood Origin Cabernet Franc 2013, VQA Beamsville Bench
Ontario, Canada$25.95
Complex medium-to-high aromatics featuring oak spice, sage, white pepper, pomegranate and bramble which follow through on the complex palate. It's medium-to-full bodied and shows excellent balance with mouth-watering acids and medium-level of tannin. The finish is very long and smooth. Could cellar 3-4 years but drinking great now! Vegan-friendly. Tasted June/2015. Score: 90+ pts
Lavau Cotes Du Rhone Villages 2011
Rhône, France$13.95
50/50 blend of Syrah and Grenache. Wood and plum aromas from the cork. Medium+ aromatics from the glass with notes of blackberry, black cherry, kirsch liquer, and sweet oak spices. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with black plum, sweet baking spice and some herbal, sage nuances. It has very good acids and fine tannins. Finishes long with slight chalky mouthfeel. Very good value! Tasted July/2015.
Château De Treviac 2012, Ap Corbières
Languedoc, France$17.95
Unoaked blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache. Vanilla and cocoa aromas from the cork. Medium intensity nose with aromas of blackberry, black pepper, herbs and a hint of garrigue. The palate is medium+ bodied with rounded tannins and appealing flavours of black fruits, black pepper, sage and hints of blue fruit. It has very good acids and a slightly earthy, lengthy finish. Well balanced. Tasted July/2015.
Konzelmann Gewürztraminer 2011

Nose seemed a bit closed, but had elegant aromas of lychee, peach and rose petals. Fresh acidity with more aroma replays on the palate. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with just a bit of heat on the mid-palate. Finish is just off-dry (a little sweet). Very nice overall. Tasted Jan/2014.

It's medium-bodied with bright acids and a spicy mid-palate. Medium level tannins. The finish length is medium-to-long with oak, dark berry, and spice notes. Tasted July/2015.
