Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Château De Treviac 2012, Ap Corbières
Languedoc, France$17.95
Unoaked blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Grenache. Vanilla and cocoa aromas from the cork. Medium intensity nose with aromas of blackberry, black pepper, herbs and a hint of garrigue. The palate is medium+ bodied with rounded tannins and appealing flavours of black fruits, black pepper, sage and hints of blue fruit. It has very good acids and a slightly earthy, lengthy finish. Well balanced. Tasted July/2015.
Konzelmann Gewürztraminer 2011
Ontario, Canada$15.95
Nose seemed a bit closed, but had elegant aromas of lychee, peach and rose petals. Fresh acidity with more aroma replays on the palate. Medium-bodied and nicely balanced with just a bit of heat on the mid-palate. Finish is just off-dry (a little sweet). Very nice overall. Tasted Jan/2014.
La Ferme Du Mont Le Ponnant Côtes Du Rhône Villages 2012
Rhône, France$22.95
60% Grenache and 40% Syrah. Complex aromas of crème de cassis, licorice, blueberry, oak spice, blackberry, and acacia flowers of medium intensity which replay very nicely on the peppery palate. It's medium-bodied with bright acids and a spicy mid-palate. Medium level tannins. The finish length is medium-to-long with oak, dark berry, and spice notes. Tasted July/2015.
Moraine Syrah 2013, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$23.95
Aromas of medium+ intensity featuring meaty, black peppercorn and cherry notes. On the palate, it's medium+ bodied with nice aroma replays, integrated tannins, very good acids and medium-long finish. Tasted Aug/2015.
Villa Maria Cellar Selection Sauvignon Blanc 2015, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$21.95
Balanced, medium-high aromatics of gooseberry, asparagus and kiwi. It's medium-bodied on the palate with ripe fruited aroma replays. Well-balanced overall with balanced acids and long finishing. Consistently well-made. Tasted May/2016.
Domaine Millet Chablis 2014, Ac
Burgundy, France$27.95
Aromas of clean lime and citrus with hints of stone from the cork. Vinified in thermal regulated tanks, in the glass this offers aromas of lemon/lime, stone fruits with some herbal and stony minerality adding interest. The palate is light-to-medium bodied with crisp, balanced acids and flavours of lemon, peach, chalk along with hints of minerality and butter. Peach and orange notes really show through as it warms up in the glass. A clean Chablis that's refreshing with good length on the finish. Enjoy over the next 2-3 years. Tasted Mar/2016.
Concha Y Toro Marqués De Casa Concha Syrah 2012, Buin, Maipo Valley
Maipo Valley, Chile$18.75
Ripe black and blue fruits on the medium intensity nose along with black cherry and cedar oak aromas. It's full-bodied with Asian spice, blue fruit, vanillan, and some earthy flavours. Acids are very good, while the finish is long with dusty tannins. Tasted Oct/2015.
Domaine Queylus Tradition Pinot Noir 2013, VQA Niagara Peninsula

Medium-intensity nose offers oak spice, cherry, strawberry and herbally notes that continue on the palate. Has supple tannins, good acids, and finishing long. Tasted Oct/2016.
Nals Margreid Pinot Noir 2013, Doc Alto Adige
Alto Adige-Trentino, Italy$16.25
8 months in big oak barrels. Plum and sour cherry aromas from the cork. Ripe cherry with dampen earth aromas along with whiffs of ripe plum, clove and charcuterie. On the palate, it's medium-bodied with saliva-inducing acids, soft rounded tannins and flavours of ripe dark cherry, black cherry, sweet spice with beetroot, earth and strawberry flavours emerging on the medium-long finish. Tasted Jan/2016.
Southbrook Triomphe Chardonnay 2014, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$24.95
Stelvin screw cap. Lifted aromatics that are reductive in style with matchstick most prominent followed by lemon, herbs, buttered popcorn and yellow pear aromas. It's medium-bodied on the palate with clean, refreshing lemony acids. Balanced flavours of lemon, buttered popcorn, herbal and smoky nuances linger on the long finish. This should improve in a year's time as the wine integrates. Tasted Sept/2016.
