Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Smoke, dark fruits, white pepper, herbal aromas with a touch of cherry. All follow through on palate, with dark fruits dominating; pepper on the mid-palate. Medium-bodied red wine. Tasted Jan/2012.
Cálem Fine White Port, Doc Douro
Portugal$13.95
Honey, caramel aromas and flavours. Very smooth and syrupy. Reminds me of a Vidal Icewine. Serve it slightly chilled. Delicious! Tasted Oct/2011.
Featherstone Black Sheep Riesling 2010, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$16.95
Mineral, flowers, and honey aromas all follow through on the palate. Dry, soft, ripe and focused. Gorgeous with lots of flavour, and not over-bearing with sweetness. Tasted April/2011.
Chateau Ste. Michelle Chardonnay 2009, Columbia Valley
Washington, Usa$17.95
Grapefruit, lemon, herbal, mineral/stone aromas. Buttered popcorn, green apple flavours. Oak evident, but definitely in the background. Medium-bodied. Quality Chard that's well-made. Tasted July/2011.
Quinta Da Aveleda Vinho Verde 2010
Portugal$10.95
Fresh, delicate floral, herbal aromas. Grassy, tart, some tropical fruits on the palate with a slight spritz. Tasted Mar/2012.
Vintage Ink Mark Of Passion Merlot/Cabernet 2009, VQA Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$17.95
Spicy bouquet with black fruit, some cedar, earth and licorice. Light- to medium-bodied with no overly strong flavours of blackberries and cedar/oak. Tasted Sept/2011.
Korta Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2009
Chile$13.95
Cork smells of fresh berries. Cassis, raspberry, dark fruit, finishing with earthy/forest aromas. Offers berries, tar, oak and touch of mocha on the palate. Tannins could use more time to develop. Full bodied with a long finish. Overall, this wine that provides good value at $13.95, but could use another 1-3 years in cellar to mature further. An aerator or decanter would also benefit if opening now. Tasted Oct/2011.
Veedha Red 2008, Douro, Portugal
Douro, Portugal$14.15
Red fruits, pepper, spice, herbs on the palate. Ripe fruit and ready to drink now. Tasted Oct/2011.
