Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Enrico Serafino Barbaresco 2015, Docg
Piedmont, Italy$29.95
This Nebbiolo has a medium-high intensity nose of dried floral, cherry, dried nutmeg, plum, and spice aromas. It is full-bodied on the palate with firm, chalky tannins. Lovely aroma replays join the spice and tobacco flavours. Excellent finish length. Needs time - will be better in 3-4 years. Tasted June/2019.
Henry Of Pelham Riesling Icewine 2017, Short Hills Bench (375ml)
Ontario, Canada$49.95
The highly aromatic nose is intense with lovely ripe peach, honey, and lemon citrus aromas with a hint of melon. The full-bodied, viscous palate has very good fruit concentration with lusciously sweet aroma replays that are balanced with bracing, juicy acidity. The finish length is excellent. Tasted Jan/2020. Score: 91+ pts
Kacaba Premium Series Reserve Riesling 2017, Niagara Escarpment
Ontario, Canada$17.95
Screw cap. Lovely, fragrant, medium-high intensity nose of petrol, lemon oil citrus, waxy, white peach, and orchard fruit complexity. It's miedium+ bodied, off-dry and with delicious petrol, lemon/lime citrus, white peach, and green apple flavours with a kiss of sweetness surrounding a core of savoury, stony mineral. It has very good, lively and juicy acidity, along with a nicely chalky textured mid-palate. Leesy, limestone mineral notes linger on the long, dry-ish, crisp, and well-structured finish. Tasted May 2024. Score: 90+ pts
Demorgenzon Dmz Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Wo Stellenbosch
Stellenbosch, South Africa$17.95
Medium-high intensity nose delivers ripe guava, passion fruit, kiwi, lime, and grassy aromas. The medium-bodied palate is crisp with vibrant acids and nice aroma replays. Long, crisp finish. Tasted June/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Burrowing Owl Estate Bottled Chardonnay 2017, BC VQA Okanagan Valley
British Columbia, Canada$35.24
Tasted Nov/2019.
Mimi En Provence Grande Réserve Rosé 2018, Ap Côtes De Provence
Provence, France$20.95
Medium+ bodied with herbs, garrigue, and red berry aromas. It is medium-full bodied with very good fruit concentration on the palate and nice aroma replays and bright acids lifting the dry palate. Structured, with very good finish length. Tasted June/2019.
Summerhouse Pinot Noir 2015, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$27.95
Reductive nose with funky earth, beetroot, sour cherry, strawberry, and blackberry aromas, all coming through nicely on the medium-bodied palate. It has well-integrated, smooth tannins and balanced acids. Touch savoury and meaty on the long finish. Tasted June/2019.
