Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Domaine La Haute Févrie Sur Lie Muscadet Sèvre Et Maine 2017, Ac
Loire, France$15.95
This organic white wine made with Melon de Bourgogne was hand-harvested and spent 7 months on the lees. In the glass, this offers ripe melon, lemon, pear, and white grapefruit aromas with hints of mineral. The medium-bodied palate has a slight spritz with ripe and honeyed flavours of citrus, grapefruit, herbs, and lemon. Acids are crisp and clean, while the mid-palate brings out stony mineral notes that continue through to the finish, with good length. A fine match for oysters, fish, or lobster. Tasted Apr/2019.
Chakana Estate Selection Malbec 2016, Uco Valley, Mendoza
Mendoza, Argentina$14.75
Fermented using wild yeasts, and aged in French oak barrels and concrete vats for 10 months. A minerally, fragrant nose of dark plums, dark berries, wild herbs, smoky mineral, and hints of floral. The palate is medium-full bodied with fresh acidity and nicely textured tannins that offer a touch of grip. Nicely balanced aroma replays come through on the palate, plus hints of white pepper adding complexity. Smoke and white pepper notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Recommended buy. Tasted Apr/2019.
Sister's Run Old Testament Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Coonawarra, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$17.95
Fragrant with ripe aromas and flavours of currant, cassis, herbs, red & black fruit, and chocolate. The full-bodied palate is dry and smooth with soft tannins, fresh acids, and very good finish length. Tasted Apr/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Gérard Bertrand Fitou Grenache/Carignan 2017, Ap

Troupis Fteri Moschofilero 2017, Igp Arcadia
Peloponnese, Greece$16.95
Bright and fragrant with white floral, herbal, anise, and fennel aromas. It is medium+ bodied with good fruit concentration and pretty aroma replays. Acids are balanced while the finish length is very good. Tasted Apr/2019.

Aconcagua Valley, Chile$19.95
Tasted Apr/2019.
Wits End Luna Shiraz 2017, Mclaren Vale, South Australia
South Australia, Australia$17.95
Includes 2% Barbera. The medium-high intensity nose is funky (in a good way) with meaty, savoury, dark spice, and smoke aromas. Joining aroma profile on the medium+ bodied palate are ripe blueberry, blackberry and a touch of jamminess. Well-balanced acids are combined with smooth tannins. Finishes with very good length. Tasted Apr/2019.
Château De Nages Vieilles Vignes Costières De Nîmes 2016, Ap
Rhône, France$19.95
A blend of 70% Grenache, 15% Syrah, and 15% Carignan that was raised mostly in cement tanks, this has a fresh, stony mineral nose of black cherry and spice. It is medium+ bodied with lovely aroma replays, plus notes pepper spice and licorice joining the party. Nicely balanced with supple, textured tannins and fresh acidity. More spicy on the mid-palate, and continuing with mineral and spice notes on the long finish. Tasted Sept/2019.
