Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

The Lane Vineyard Block 1a Chardonnay 2017, Adelaide Hills
South Australia, Australia$14.75
Fragrant, buttery, apple, vanilla and subtle wood aromas, all of which come through on the medium-full bodied palate. It has balanced acids and a slightly creamy textured mouthfeel. Herbally notes linger on the long finish. Tasted May/2019.
Feudo Antico Biologico Pecorino 2017, Igp Terre Di Chieti

Ripe with floral, herbs, melon and fresh citrus aromas. The medium+ bodied palate has very good fruit concentration with a plush mouthfeel and balanced acidity. A touch of saline minerality on the mid-palate. Herbally and dry with very good length on the finish. Tasted May/2019.
Creekside Iconoclast Syrah 2016, VQA St. David's Bench, Niagara On The Lake, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$25.00
Co-fermented with 1% Viognier. Screw cap. Lovely, medium-high to highly aromatic nose delivers ripe plum, dark berry, meaty, and black pepper spice with hints of mint and floral in a maturing profile. It's medium+ bodied with slightly astringent, grippy tannins offering a pleasing mouthfeel. Tangy flavours of black plum, dark berry, peppery spice, and meaty taper to savoury, woody, smoky, and mocha chocolate notes on the long, juicy, saliva-inducing finish. Last tasted Oct. 2022.
Nativ Rue Dell'inchiostro Aglianico 2017, Igt Campania
Campania, Italy$19.95
This unoaked Aglianico has medium+ intensity aromas that are fresh and fruity with inky dark fruit, dark berry, and sweet spice flavours flecked with black pepper and savoury undertones. It is medium-full bodied on the slightly sweet palate with delicious ripe dark berry fruit flavours with some raisin, savoury, and peppery spice notes adding interest. Acids are fresh and lively while tannins are refined and dusty. Fruity with subtle savoury mineral notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted June/2020.

Mazzei Poggio Badiola Di Fonterutoli 2016, Igt Toscana
Tuscany, Italy$14.75
A blend of 65% Sangiovese, 30% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot that was hand-picked and aged in small American oak barrels for 10 months. Medium+ intensity nose offers aromas of sweet red and black cherries, dried spices, and some wood surrounding a savoury earthy core. It is medium-full bodied and fairly dense with smooth, finely-grained tannins with some grip, and juicy acids. More savoury on the flavour profile with currant, black cherry accents. Savoury, earthy and cocoa notes linger on the long finish. Enjoyable now, but will be better in 1-2 years. Tasted May/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Château De Tréviac Corbières 2016, Ap

A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache aged completely in tank. Quite intense on the nose with stony mineral and scorched earth aromas layered on top of the lovely blackberry, black pepper spice, licorice, and cassis notes. Lovely mineral driven aroma replays on the full-bodied palate with very good fruit concentration. Nicely textured with supple tannins that have some chalkiness. Acids are juicy and mouth-watering. Stony mineral notes linger on the long finish. Highly recommended. Tasted May/2019.
