Wine lover since 2001! My interest in wine began while touring the factory where they printed the LCBO VINTAGES magazine.
Over time, my passion for wine grew. Now, I am highly regarded by friends and colleagues as a resource for when they need a wine for that special occasion, be it an anniversary, birthday, wedding, gatherings at home, or when they want to impress their special friend or the In-Laws.
Combining my interest in the Internet/web/computers, you can find me at https://vintagewinepicks.blogspot.com where you will find more wine reviews, events and contests.

Monasterio De Las Vinas Reserva Garnacha/Tempranillo/Carinena 2014, Dop Spain
Spain$14.95
Ripe red cherry/berry, vanilla, blueberry, herbs, earthy, and woody aromas and flavours. Dry, structured and tannic with balanced acids on the medium-bodied palate. Very good length on the spiced finish. Tasted Apr/2019.
Château Saint Roch Le Rosé 2018, Ap Côtes Du Roussillon
Midi, France$17.95
The medium+ intensity nose is clean with grapefruit, citrus, strawberry and cherry notions, followed by much of the same on the medium-bodied palate, plus more orange citrusy flavours. It's dry with balanced acids. Herbal and mineral notes linger on the finish, with very good length. Tasted Apr/2019.
Villa Maria Southern Clays Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc 2018, Marlborough, South Island
Marlborough, New Zealand$29.95
Fresh, medium-high intensity nose delivers grassy, kiwi, gooseberry, and lime aromas, all of which come through nicely on the medium+ bodied palate and joined by passion fruit notes. It's supported by bracing acidity and has a long, satisfying finish. Tasted May/2019.
13th Street June's Vineyard Riesling 2018, VQA Creek Shores, Niagara Peninsula
Ontario, Canada$19.95

Creekside Gamay 2017, VQA Niagara Peninsula, Ontario
Ontario, Canada$18.95
Appealing medium+ intensity nose has cherry, spice, and strawberry aromas, all of which come through on the light-to-medium bodied palate plus some plum and minty notes on the flavour profile. It has smooth tannins, fresh acids, and very good length on the spicy finish. Tasted Apr/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Gérard Bertrand Grand Terroir Les Aspres Syrah/Mourvèdre/Grenache 2016, Ap Côtes Du Roussillon
Roussillon, France$19.95
Blend of 50% Syrah, 40% Mourvèdre, and 10% Grenache. Medium+ intensity nose is spicy, creamy oak, herbal, cherry, and a hint of lavender. It's full-bodied with purple fruit, blackberry, and sweet oak spice notes on the palate. It has balanced acids, grippy tannins, and a long, juicy finish. Approachable now, but better in 1-2 years. Tasted July/2019. Score: 88+ pts
Secreto Patagónico Malbec 2017, Patagonia
Patagonia, Argentina$14.75
Fresh with black fruit, stony mineral, and floral aromas and flavours supported by crunchy fruit on the full-bodied, structured palate with firm, nicely integrated tannins. Fresh acids keep the palate lively, while the finish length is very good. Tasted June/2019.
